[Always said the Wings would go 70-7-5 this season](https://www.reddit.com/r/DetroitRedWings/comments/z9c3p1/post_game_thread_buffalo_sabres_at_detroit_red/iyg1f0d/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3)
Didn’t play all that bad but have to find some offense somewhere. Not going to win many games scoring one goal.
Man. Raymond needs a shake up. Different linemates. It was horrific today. Might have been his worse game as a pro IMO.
I donno. We played OK I guess. Just looks like we weren’t motivated. Kinda has looked like that lately.
Just not enough offense on this squad right now. The high danger chances are almost non existent and when we get decent chances we just lack finish. It’s not like the boys aren’t fighting but they just aren’t good enough to handle these good teams.
Wings back to struggling with the basics. They don’t want the puck
This team needs a spark when’s vrana and fabbri coming back
Oof. Most anemic performance of the season. They’re just playing bad hockey, that’s all it is. Guys won’t try to get into the middle of the ice, or will look for the perfect pass, or take too damn long to get a shot off.
This would only be for my satisfaction, because I’m sure Lalonde knows what this team’s issues are…but I’d like to hear him be a little more forthcoming about the things they’re doing badly just so that I know for a fact he’s aware of them. I like that he’s been calm and realistic and positive about the team so far, but at a certain point I want to hear him talk about what needs to change if this team is going to reach its potential. We’ve seen flashes of it, but for most of the season so far we’re just treading water and that won’t work all year.
Feeling the continued hurt with Vrana, Fabbri and Bert out of the lineup. Gotta do something with our PP with the guys we have. Ras and Suter should get a chance if the other guys continue to not produce and make PPs look that painful.
Today felt like Maatta’s worst game here and the 2nd pair struggled more than the 1st tonight. The team had a good 1st period by the underlying numbers but it fell out in the 2nd. At the end of the day Vegas is a very good team and we’re just not there yet. No shame in admitting that this team still has a ways to go.
Why does it feel like the « better » we play the more likely we are to lose? Like I swear when we were winning our expected goals are always lower than our opponents, now the last few games we’ve been outplaying the other team and losing
