Remember earlier this season when people were saying they preferred us playing like last year (getting outplayed and saved by a historical goalie season) to how we played earlier this season when we were dominating 5v5 and generating so many chances every game but legit getting unlucky.
Then we started to play like last year but didn’t have the historical goaltending to bail us out. Now we are just playing terribly overall, Panarin has regressed, defense hasn’t stepped up, PP is a noodle. 3 points out of our last 12 possible points. And a very hard schedule coming up.
Kravtsov has been one of the only guys giving his 100% every time he plays and yet thats the guy who is most likely to be traded(after we tanked his value)
Well one of my legs of the parlay manifested late in the third.
The other…there wasn’t a chance. Just a bad game all around.
This team is too talented to be losing like this. There is something definitely up.
No offense to younger people, but it seems like passive aggressiveness is a big thing under 30 these days. I’d guess Trouba was named captain because everyone on that team was afraid to TAKE it.
It could also be Gallant. Track record speaks for itself.
Luck or not you have to play hard every night. I haven’t seen them play hard in a long time now and I don’t see any evidence of that changing any time soon.

The cap space from that trade went to Goodrow, Reaves, Nemeth instead of Buch. The lineup space we cleared for Kakko/Laf went to Vesey, Hunt, and Goodrow for long periods of time. And we had to spend a lot of resources to plug the hole opened by the trade last deadline. what a disaster of a trade.
