#5-1 SINCE MY DAUGHTER AKA KRAKEN GOOD LUCK CHARM WAS BORN

Frustrating loss tonight, but I still love our little good luck charm even if she wakes me up in the middle of the night.

  2. RubiksSugarCube

Well folks, when you win 7 out of 8, you lose 1 out of 8.

  3. juanthebaker

The word of the day is: Frustrating

  4. seataccrunch

All good things must come to an end

    Time for a new streak!!

  5. LC_From_TheHills

Listen. I get it. We’re on Reddit and we’re supposed to be smarter than the average fan like I get it. But my dudes sometimes the issue really is that simple. It’s sucks we couldn’t score but Gru was and continues to be the liability.

  6. itsnoterik

Yeah idk man. Florida’s goalie was lights out but those no-calls were really rough. Tough way to end the streak.

edit: also Wennberg really needs to shoot the puck.

  7. BenSoloGhost

Refs were terrible. Disappointing game but the team played hard. The only one I’m mad at is Wenni. It’s glaring when he avoids putting it on net. Dude probably had 3 goals tonight if he ever took a legit shot

Gross loss but it’s December, not April. Whatever, we’ll just go for 8 wins in a row next. Bound to have one of these L’s after the win streaks we’ve had, just reset and throw this game away. We’re a great team.

  9. AstroWraith

The last time Seattle lost by more than one goal was October 17th, 2022 (4th game of the season) thats 47 days without losing by 2 goals. It was the longest active streak in the NHL.

Been a heck of a season! Here’s to starting another run!

  10. THE_Sidleno

I blame the hideously ugly jerseys for snapping the streak

  11. wellroundedperson

Why aren’t we starting Jones in goal, he earned it.

  12. surfingeagles

Spencer Knight is only 21 and playing like that!! That kid is going to be special. Refs are terrible.

A few things hurt us tonight:

    1. We could not beat Knight. We needed to elevate the puck to get by him, but couldn’t do it.

    2. Our PK continues to be poor. We’d be a ton better if we could consistently kill penalties. Teams are going to do whatever they can to draw penalties from us if it nearly guarantees a goal.

    3. Some bad calls hurt us a ton and showed up on the scoreboard. It’s going to happen and there’s not much we can do about that.

Can’t win them all and our record is still stellar. We’ll regroup and come back angry for Montreal on Tuesday.

  14. Top_Rekt

Kraken didn’t lose tonight, just couldn’t beat the adversity and the shit the hockey gods threw at you. Good luck on your new streak! As long as you’re not playing us during it! Take it ez Squidbros.

The PK is officially A Problem. I’m not sure what’s going on but the coaches have to figure things out and get the guys to play a more effective coverage system. Seattle’s been able to bail out the bad PK thanks to strong 5v5 play up until now, but that won’t always be enough as tonight showed.

  16. ChrisyBear

As a fan of both teams, I still think the goal interference was a risky call. Didn’t go the Kraken’s way, but risky challenge. They had their chances but Spencer Knight stood on his head.

I will say Florida getting a PP off the roughing call was complete bullshit and should have been even, or a Kraken PP, but I still don’t like to blame refs because there are always missed calls.

Just not our night, but the rematch is soon and I think Kraken will be hungry for revenge.

  17. _MMCXII

Sure hate losing but it’s one thing if it’s a fair contest between two teams. This was clearly anything but. *At minimum* three goals were clearly affected by blatantly one sided officiating. That’s a joke. Not to mention the uncountable number of penalties against FLA that were never called. Not sure what we did to piss off these refs but I hope they’re over it now that they robbed us of the chance for two points in the standings.

  18. EwoksEwoksEwoks

    The penalty kill is DOGSHIT

  19. lustacide

    Incredibly frustrating game to watch

  20. First-Radish727

PK is hideous. Hard to be too critical given their recent tun of play

  21. Reggie4414

panthers are way ahead of kraken so no surprise really

  22. Dr_Marcus_Brody1

I knew we’d lose cause we’re playing at home

  23. cdsixed

    heres the thing

i still love this goddamn team

lets start another win streak on tuesday

  24. RampagingKoala

Gru’s top glove side was open for business all night and Florida knew it. He also looked lost on deflections, he had no idea where the puck was after the first stop. Just a really bad night for him.

Also I don’t know how many breakaways Wennberg will have before he tries an actual shot on goal.

  25. Antilock049

Yep, couldn’t outscore the problems tonight.

Definitely not quite there yet systemically.

  26. pastpastdue

How many 10 bell saves did Grubauer have that game? 8? 9? We got caught puck watching a lot in our own zone a lot. He should have had the last one, for sure – but jeez, ignoring the bad penalties, we looked like the 21-22 Kraken. The score could have been much worse without the effort Grubauer put in.

    Back to Jones on Tuesday!

  27. Gold_Karma

I’ve been to two games. They have lost 5-1 both times. 😭 guess, I need to stop going to games. They do great when I’m watching on tv.
