Man its so close on that lats play. It looks like The defensemen was pretty much falling on his own and the Peterson tap on the legs gave him the 1% boost needed to fully lose his edge. If you watch at .25 speed at 1:19, it really looks like the defender was falling in tandem with the stick check and not because of it

If you slow it down at the 1:19 mark, you will see that Matheson falls on his own trying to get onto his outside edge on his right skate, just a second before Petterson"s stick hits his leg. So, the non-call was correct.
