Talking about challenges, I think the ability to challenge for offside should have a time limit. So if the offside was more than say 30 seconds before the goal, then too bad, so sad, it can't be challenged. Logic being: if they are offside and score right away, obviously the violation contributed a lot to the goal. When the goal is 2 minutes after the missed violation, it's crazy to wipe away 2 minutes of zone play because of a 1 cm offside call miss.
I think DJ has been a fantastic coach. We can start to judge how he's doing after giving him a season with this team, but we can't blame him for the previous year with non-NHL caliber teams.
We can also judge him on his character and his ability to communicate with us and his players and he gets A+'s all around there.
