This reminds me of a stats question I had when Mika scored 5 a couple years ago. How many players have scored 5 goals in a game without an empty netter being one of them? Obviously Thompson, Zibanejad, Fedorov, and Joe Malone are four that are obvious, but you would think a solid amount of the total number of 5 goal games after the 40s would include an empty net, right? I'm sure it's an easy number to find with stathead, maybe I'll get the free trial and report back if anyone else is interested.
