  1. David I loved the humility of Jesse. So humble this could be his turning point. Hopefully 5he boys rally around him for being so forthcoming and honest.

  2. It’s good to beat a weak team at the end of a 14 game road trip. It’s bad that the Oilers still sometimes look like a gong-show in their own end of the ice. Even a lousy, exhausted team got break-aways and chances off of give-aways. … The next 2 games against the Wild mean a hundred times more than this one did. … It was great to have secondary scoring tonight – but especially if it continues against a real challenge of an opponent like the Wild.

  3. 13's problem is that he is always looking through the bottom edge of his visor. get him a helmet that fits so he at least has clear vision through the visor. maybe even have his eyes tested as well.

  4. I think McDavid didn't like Matthews getting all of those awards last year so he's cranked it up a notch. And I think he took notice when Jason Robertson briefly passed him as the scoring leader. I think that's why he's going for those extra points where he wouldn't have in the past. He's currently the leader in points, goals, and assists.
We were all amazed when he got 105 points in the Covid shortened season. He's currently outpacing that year.

  5. Guys the coyotes r a mickey mouse team. Beating them isn’t a big deal.

  6. Jesse’s interview comments certainly didn’t help his trade value within the NHL. The other factor is he has already departed the league once and seems to be leaning that way again. Bruce is right; calm down bison king! You can only score if you take the shot!

  7. JP has been given all the opportunity in the world to succeed. How many opportunities has he had playing on the top 2 lines? 6 points in 27 games. 1 goal. Minus 12 (worst on the team). It's unfortunate but the guy is an offensive bust. Maybe a fresh start would be good for him. The problem is he tanked his trade value. It's crazy how popular he is because if it was any other player, fans would be trying to run him out of town for his lack of performance.

  8. Lucky are the teams that get a sparring partner like the Coyotes early in the season. It's more intense than a practice or intra-squad game, but not as intense as playing a tougher team. It's like sending the whole NHL team to the AHL for a tune-up game. It would have been nice to meet them in October.

  9. Very happy about the win , but I still have to critic this team on its slot coverage. It’s horrible. Other than that great win, full team win.

  10. Re sign JP at a discount he'll be under less pressure and can work his way up the lineup. play physical, goals will come.

  11. Poo has been very good checking and defending, big body, big wing span. The problems start as soon as they go on offence, he becomes the proverbial "deer in the headlights". He cannot figure out where to go, doesn't want to handle the puck and his hands have turned to stone…likely a ton of pressure on him with very little confidence. Just needs a couple of games where everything goes right and he can rebuild his faith in himself.
On a personal level it would be nice if the Oilers and Canes could figure out a trade and Jesse could unite with a lot of fellow Finn's and former line mates.

  12. They whipped an AHL team. Congrats. All good. Beat Minnesota on friday or were back to the mean again.

  13. Everyone out there thinks they're all coaches & they criticize. Good coaches don't criticize they support. Disregard them it's really just opinions. Jesse is one of the best support players in the NHL, which is a great place to be considering it's for the best player in the NHL, That's a great place to be.
