The Bruins are at the top of the league for preventing scoring opportunities for opponents and it’s not even close, it is the easiest team to be a goalie on right now
Yes, his GAA is low, SV% high, and win/loss record incredible but… a **LOT** of that is thanks to his team and gets far less impressive when you look at how well even an average goalie would be doing in his position.
The Vezina is an individual award, not a team one.
Of course I’m biased towards Hellebuyck, but setting that aside I’d rank Sorokin above Ullmark right now too. Both those goalies have had more impact to their team and stolen more wins
