  1. 100% reach. I don’t know why considering they have the two 2nd rd picks, where this guy was projected.

  2. This draft was starting to look pretty funky to me. A lot of teams started to reach for players. I honestly think it was smart for the Sharks to addon ship. We got two 2nd rounders in a draft that we all knew was very questionable. I really don't get why so many people are panicking already

  3. I liked the trade down. Bystedt at 27 is quite a reach though imo. Just a really weird move overall. Can't believe they passed on Lambert at 27.

  4. I really will try to not be too quick to judge here. I’m assuming that they see enough out of this guy that isn’t worth taking even the slightest of risks. I like him frame and his speed. He also has good vision and passing from what I’ve seen. I’m hopeful here

  5. Honestly, hearing some of the scouting reports I'm kinda stoked on Bystedt. Yeah, I would've loved to snag Lambert at 27 after the trade down because I loved the potential upside, but obviously DW Jr and crew had their guy. I'm curious if they were always planning this or if someone got drafted in the top 10 that they were hoping to get at 11. Korchinski maybe?

  6. Sharks go from a potential "M for Masterful" grade to D+ on Day 1. can they rebound on Day 2 with the 2nd overall pick in the 2nd rd? pick Casey you chicken shit fuckers (oops, i said the quiet part out loud)!

  7. It’s a typical Sharks pick. We expect one way and they go a completely different direction. He has size, so let’s hope the effort issues is just being young.

  8. i dont like Lambert at 11, but when the Sharks traded the pick. I hope SJ pick Lambert at 27. By the time SJ pick at 27, ESPN ranked Lambert number 1 available player and ESPn ranked Filip Bystedt number 2. Sj have too many 5’10 , 5’11 in their system like Ozzie, Eklund, Leblan that why they drafted 6’4 Bystedt.

  9. I really wanted them to go with Lambert for sure as that could have been the steal of the draft but the more I am hearing it seems he really could be a serious lockroom issue down the road

  10. As I marinate on this a bit I actually kinda like it. He’s got a high ceiling, he’s already pretty solid, and we don’t have to pay him yet if we don’t need to. Now Seattle? They freaking won this draft.
