Haven’t said this often this year but refs sold this game

Edit: oh and once again, Fabbro is garbage

  2. Infraction_

I honestly didn’t realize the game was this afternoon until The sens made it 3-1. Looks like I didn’t miss much.

i’m so sick of how pathetic and boring this preds team is. most the team look like they phone it in most nights. if you read the body language they’re just radiating apathy. there’s no attention to detail and no one’s finishing a check. everyone has new line mates every 2-5 games so they always look lost and confused.

there’s no interesting storyline to root for either. everyone’s just kinda here. no one’s going on a point streak, no one’s within spitting distance of leading the league in anything, young and exciting new players are liable to be demoted or scratched on a whim. we could’ve been excited to watch tomasino tolvanen and glass develop all season but no, one’s in Milwaukee, one’s in the pressbox, and one’s struggling on the 4th line between 2 AHL quality players.

its like every single coaching decision is made to answer « how do we make this team as boring and mediocre as possible? »

I’d say « suck hard for bedard » but John Hynes would just scratch him for Cole Smith anyway.

I haven’t bitched about reffing in awhile but that was some top tier number one bullshit.

  5. Uncle_johns_roadie

We have the lowest amount of goals in the league which is why we can’t easily beat a bottom feeder like Ottawa. At the same time, we have the offensive weapons who are either not being used properly or not even used at all (Tolvanen and Tomasino). It’s clear that Hynes is responsible for this mismanagement. If management wants to do anything other than tread stagnant water, then **Hynes needs to go.**

It’s one thing to do dumb shit and lose to a low tier team.

It’s another to be absolutely fucked sideways by the refs on top of stupid bullshit.

Fuck each and every one of those blind zebra fucks. Hope they each slam their pinky toe on their coffee tables in the middle of the night this Christmas.

Edit: also fuck Batherson for that hit on Lauzon, you dirty bitch

  7. datboi_osht

Hey, we didn’t win. But at least we sold some seats, bobbleheads, and beers… it’s all the same

  8. What happened to Carrier and Lauzon?

  9. DrakeSportsGamer24

To be fair, we shouldn’t have taken that Too Many Men penalty in the 2nd. We would have likely avoided a 5-on-3 scenario when Lauzon got hurt and at least it would have been a 5-on-4. But still, bullshit no call there. Reffing was *not* great today by any means, some of the worst I’ve seen all year. Hope Lauzon & Carrier are alright.

    On to St. Louis!

This is such a disappointing team. I don’t know any other way to describe it. They’re worse at every phase of the game than they were last year. How is that possible? They’re going to be in the just below average hole for the foreseeable future because they have no interest in getting rid of Poile. Hynes is probably going to be here for a while because they scraped into the playoffs last year.

  11. Confused-o-Screaming

I’m shocked at how bad the refereeing was this game. Unbelievable.

Would we have won if the refereeing was good or even just decent? Maybe, but we can’t win when we’re playing both the Sens and the refs

  12. Birdhawk

They players are failing by not holding each other accountable for lazy or crappy plays (Ekholm. every shift. costing us too many men penalties multiple times in two weeks too.)

Coaches are failing with dumb stuff all around. Like giving Colton Sissons top 6 minutes. Fine if you need him to win faceoffs but you got him dragging guys down as a winger this game. Or having Granlund taking faceoffs with Duchene on the wing even though Duch has a much better FO%. Or making Josi be stay at home while they’re having Ekholm join every rush and having him go deep in the offensive zone even though he’s slow as hell which forces wingers to cover him on the backcheck and the dude can’t pass or shoot either so he adds nothing to the rush.

Front office. Sorry but this roster sucks, yet coaching should still be able to get more out of them than this shit show. Unless you’re trying to tank enough to get in the bottom 4 lotto. If you are, then you’re failing at that too.

  13. mleyd001

Cole Smith almost got one. Hynes did that. All this minutes and he almost got one tonight. By the end of the season Smith is going to have so many participation hand jobs from Hynes, he’ll win an AVN award.

  14. goldsmitty3000

Question: was that double minor high stick in the 3rd legit or abad call? I didn’t get a good look from the 300s so I was just curious.

  15. Rinne4Vezina

Mace, the only phone call Karl Taylor needs to be getting right now is the one to come coach.

ETA: Willy, if we need to find some offense, maybe look in the press box and Milwaukee.

  16. gigadude7

Wait, I don’t get it. We scored 3 times, they scored 2 times, and we still lost?

  17. Bkoster85

What Ottawa and Nashville have in common is that neither has been legit since 2017.

The difference is Ottawa actually gave up and they’ve gone through an entire rebuild in the same time the Preds have completely wasted still thinking they can get over the hump. Imagine if Ottawa still had Karlsson and Stone and Craig Anderson trying to find the 2017 magic. That’s what the Preds are… its just so dumb and infuriating at this point. Even when Saros steals them a game they look like a complete mess but they still try to contend. It’s a joke
