At the end of the first two minutes Calgary was allowed a man out of the box with the Toronto player (to go from 4 on 4 to 5 on 5). But the original Calgary player had to stay in the box.

Serving Hannifins 1st of his 2 minor penalties for highsticking.
Bunting had a minor called at the same time.

I remain unclear on why it wasn’t a 2 minute 4v4 followed by 5v4. Hannifin sits for two minutes while Bunting sits for two. Truly bizarre.

Definitely some kind of fuck up here. Bunting/Hamilton were separate incidents, not off-setting. Should’ve been 4v4 for 2 minutes followed by a 5v4 PP.

Also super bullshit that Lindholm’s penalty got wiped, but go off Sutter, talking about BS calls

When I checked the NHL app to see why he was in the box, it just said his name followed by « minor ».

Now the app has zero reference to it.

No one seems to really know

[Rule 19.1](https://cms.nhl.bamgrid.com/images/assets/binary/326142322/binary-file/file.pdf). The only carve out for 4v4 is one each. In this case, there were three penalties, two minors for the high sticking and one to Bunting. You cancel out as many as you can so you’re left with 2mins on the clock. Mr High Stick must serve 4m so Zohorna joins him so he can regain 5v5 while Hanifin sits for his 4m. Bunting leaves after 2m plus a whistle.

I was at the game and there was a play where they wouldn’t let matthews start in the offensive zone. Do we know why?
