The Sabres look a lot better than their current place in the standings when you focus on regulation wins. Over the course of an 82 game season, regulation wins are usually a good indicator of how strong a team is. If they could learn how to steal points would help them a lot, as far as their rank in the standings go. What would really help the Sabres is playing in the Western Conference.
