But Barrie is the problem that needs to be moved?

  2. gotta trade barrie while we can still get something for him. Meanwhile, send jesse to the farm. negative energy out there. anyone at this point cant do worse.

  3. Build around Bouchard. Get him a vet to be paired with. Get another shutdown guy. The wish list continues 😂. Something has gotta change lol

  4. People thought Puljujarvi would be good because of his size and excellent skating but he has the lowest hockey IQ in the NHL…. He should retire and apply at the Disney on ice show.

  5. Evan Bouchard ,Jesse Puljujarvi ,Evan Shor , what a waste of money on Jesse , Bouchard is just brain dead every game he is good for to goal against standing around puck watching. having playing like this around is good for Calgary.

  6. Star studded? 16 points in 29 games who are you kidding? I hope he improves but he has ways to go.

  7. This loss was not on Barrie and overall he's played pretty well this season and the end of last season. His defensive play has improved. It has been Bouchard that has consistently make young D-man mistakes leading to goals against. I trust that Bouchard will get better as he gets more experience. Even our $9.25M D-man is making some doozy mistakes every other game.

At the start of the season I thought that Barrie needed to be moved for a Adam Larsson-like player, but I'm sure Holland looked and couldn't find one hoping that some combination of Ceci and Kulak could fill those shoes. Edmunson might be that type of player, but no way is he with a 1st or Xavier Borgault.

  8. I think that Vinny Desharnais' injuries and subsequent infection was at the worst time possible for him and the Oilers. He was the #1 +/- player in the entire AHL last season, and the Condors were just a slightly above average team. This season, the Condors have won every game that he has been able to play. He's a complete player, and at 26, the time to see if he can handle NHL skill is now. I think that he can play that Adam Larsson role as a shut down defender. I think that he could be somewhere between a Logan Stanley and a Jaime Oleksiak as far as big defenders go, and at 6'7" 227lbs, he can defend his teammates and the front of the net.

  9. Imagine trading Darnell nurse for a pylon.(future considerations) no salary retained. it makes me want to puke knowing that he single handedly ruined this organization for the duration of his contract. I hope he feels like a piece of garbage knowing that if him and his contract were removed from the roster the oilers are immediately a cup contending team with the upgrade points they would aquire. Kane back with 9.25 to spend would be the ultimate pipe dream lol
