  1. Came on strong in the 2nd half last year and took a minute to get going in this season but warmed-up and stayed that way even during that nasty free-fall.

The important thing is DON'T end up like Laine after his 5-goal game. He hasn't been the same, since. Just keep firing away and forget trying to duplicate such a once-in-a-lifetime performance. Quickest way to not score at all for awhile.

  2. This video was made 7 hours ago at this posting and the kid already has 2 more goals and an assist! He's a absolute stud. I thought Buffalo got robbed in the O'Reilly trade. Yes that trade will always be great for the blue's but I think at this point buffalo is incredibly happy as well! The rare win, win trade?!?!

  3. I think the unicorn discussion needs to start being more serious. As you said, at least half of his goals this are highlight reels; you'd be forgiven for thinking a much smaller player made them. Yet there he is, with all his size and length and all the possible benefits manifesting. There's not another player his size putting up even half of Tage's per-game production. Unicorn seems very appropriate especially once he starts rattling off 60+ goals in a season

  4. He's a beast. Been a long time since Buffalo had a "highlight reel" type player. I've been a fan since the French Connection. Today's Sabres are even more fun to watch
    than those guys.

  5. The Sabres won't ever win that Ryan O'Reilly trade unless Tage Thompson brings the Sabres back to the play-offs and then eventually to the Stanley Cup.

The goal of this whole NHL thing is to win the Cup, RoR got the Blues the Cup, I dunno how you could ever convince or argue with any Blue's fans that they lost that trade unless Tage Thompson and the Sabres also win at least 1 cup.
