We also need consistently better play in net. We’ll see if we get that from Knight but Bob having a game like last night and then proceeding to get lit up 4 goals in the first period the next is not gonna cut it. Also, Ekblad is clearly not fully recovered from that groin injury he had earlier this season. It very much looks like he’s laboring out there and his play has suffered immensely as a result.
Cut the Staal brothers. They provide negative value.
Getting Lundell, Hornqvist, Gudas and Verhaeghe back will be a huge boost for us. As will Duclair when he comes back.
The talent is there. Just needs to be utilized better. I’m interested in seeing what moves are made next season with a overall cap increase and lot’s of cap coming off the book. I also wonder if we try to move Bobrovsky this offseason. Even if we take half his salary it will go a long way.

I think we’re an above average dark horse team to win the cup playing like a dog shit miss the playoffs type of team. Coaching, injuries, and lack of cap space to fill up the poor defensive personnel is what’s hurting us the most.
