This is akin to witnessing the awakening of a sleeping giant. The personnel has been there; it was the COACHING squad that couldn’t figure out how to unleash the beast that they had on their hands. Look at this team, then imagine them in 2-3 years, with Luke Hughes, Simon Nemec and Alexander Holtz on the ice. Wow…

  2. It feels unreal that they're performing so well this year. I've been saying that NEXT year was the year the devils probably made a big jump with prospects like L. Hughes coming in… but being this good now with a future that looks even better is unbelievable. Leagues gonna be dealing with a strong NJD for years to come,.

  3. Changing the lines up in the second worked out great. Have not enjoyed watching the games this much since the A line was kicking ass two decades ago(yeah I am old).

  4. Tatar has really surprised me more then anyone else. I didn’t even think he would be on the team with the salary cap getting tight.

My only complaint and I’m getting ahead of myself here, how would this team play in the playoffs? The playoffs are a different game and last night we were out hit 25-10. Can we step it up physically with this group or do we need to add?

  5. Vanicek stood on his head for some of those saves and John Marino was making game changing defensive plays. He shut down Caufield & Nico shut down Suzuki. I think they only had 1 shot on goal the whole game. I was hoping to see Jack get his first hat trick but it just wasn't in the cards. This team is for real!!! The NJD became the 61st team in NHL history to post a 10 game winning streak. Out of the previous 60 to do so, 58 teams have gone on to make the playoffs that season.(96.7%)

  6. Bro you need to do an exclusive video talking about the new defense god, future Norris winner John Marino, we robbed PIT

  7. Nothing better than seeing your team break out, there was so much talent there it was gunna catch fire eventually. Cheers from Leafs Nation.

  8. He doesn't get enough credit because it doesn't show up on the score sheet, but John Marino was, once again, the unsung hero of the game. The blocked shots, the breakaways he broke up, his positioning, etc was absolutely paramount to last night's victory. He single handedly took away at least 3 near-guaranteed goals and was shutting down everyone who threatened to set up quality shots. Marino continues to be the most impressive acquisition of the offseason in my eyes.

  9. Something I'm missing. The defense has a very large part in this achievement. In some cases, the opposing top lines were almost completely taken out of play. It's not sexy, but it's important.

  10. After seeing how the Marino trade is looking our GM's new name is Tom Fleecegerald

  11. Marino absolutely deserved that ENG. He’s been a godsend for this Devils team and solidifies our RD for the next couple of years with Hamilton and Nemec. Vanecek has been lights out since the first Detroit game. This team has been running on all cylinders (w/ an injured Palat) and it’s just exciting hockey to witness.

  12. Congrats to all fellow Devils fans ! Ladies and gentlemen , after all patience does pay off !

  13. Question one source says vanceck is 7-0 another one days he's 7-1 which stat is correct?

  14. I feel it’s the defense that’s swung things around. For small but highly skilled forwards like the Devils have, it’s paramount they have those big and skilled D to get the puck out and to join the rush. This makes it possible for those fast forward to really play their game. Like the other posts, I’d like a follow up video on Marino if possible. Go devils!

  15. 1st game in awhile that Nico didn't record a point. Can't wait for the next game. Teams been fun to watch.

  16. I am completely in on this team ,I had some hesitation for a little, The Marino trade is priceless how he's performing, I wasn't in on Vanecek at first, I wanted Husso, I'm a thousand percent on the Vanecek wagon and see our #1 goaltender, I LOVE this team how they're showing up each night, looking forward to seeing Palat come back and what happens then ,Let's go DEVILS !!!

  17. Playing the Maple Leafs in Toronto will be a real test for this team. I think the Devils can match gem talent wise. It will come down to goaltending. Toronto is shaky in net so we will see.
I have to admit I was chanting “Fire Lindy” in the home opener. But my son and I were there for the apology against Arizona. Sorry Lindy. Let’s Go Devils!!!!!

  18. No big trades, wait till Palat gets back! Wow, this team is going places. Vitek looks great in net. Let’s us grow together. And wait until Nemec and Hughes come up next year! Wow!!!
