Who else is a CBJ fan
What a comeback by the Blue Jackets! I saw the score was 3-0 and thought to myself 'so this is how the series is going to go?'. Glad Columbus stepped up and took game 1, and later the series.
The beginning of the end
why does vasilevsky look like a 18th century son of a french nobleman who doesn't want to learn to dance and just wants to eat porridge in the beginning

One of the best nights of my life
The best first period in lightning history
Absolutely pathetic !! The 2018-19 62 win Tampa Bay Lightning are now a MEME for epic choking. It's pathetic how they folded under first round playoff adversity. I know the parity in the NHL is second to none and 8 seeds can beat 1 seeds unlike the NBA but c'mon TBL… Getting swept!? You tied the 1995-96 Red Wings for most wins all time with 62. They(96 wings) were swept and embarrassed too. But that was in the Stanley Cup Final.
The Bobrovsky save at 3:20 was the turning point in the series.
5:58 offside?
0:51 – "You see the quick, aggressive play by Tampa"
…that didn't age well
Jump scare at 7:58
the lightning had no idea what was about to come…
One year later
0:20: Alex Killorn (Shorthanded) (1-0 Lightning)
1:21: Anthony Cirelli (2-0 Lightning)
2:47: Yanni Gourde (3-0 Lightning)
4:17: Nick Foligno (3-1 Lightning)
6:26: David Savard (3-2 Lightning)
7:08: Josh Anderson (Shorthanded) (Tied 3-3)
7:39: Seth Jones (Power Play) (4-3 Blue Jackets)
7:58 wth
Bolts choked
Anyone else here watching all playoff games cuz you’re bored in quarantine?
I’m a bruins fan but at the time of this game I was on vacation in Florida and I was happy for two reasons:
I like to root for the underdog
I don’t want the bruins to play the lightning in the second round
Hi chose TB in 4
What really happened: CBJ in 4
Lightning got up 3-0 and decided to quit playing hockey for the year.
Every year I will look at every playoff game highlights
Rematch!!!!! 2020!!!!!
whose back before the rematch?
Round 2 Columbus. You’re not gonna get lucky this time!
Redemption! Congrats to these boys for not letting this sweep get in their way! Stanley cup champions baby!!!
at least were redeemed next year in the bubble thanks Columbus for giving us the motivation to win the Stanley cup
I’ll never forget watching this game at home
What a great comeback by the blue jackets
2 years ago this started 😂
it all started off so well…
Literally the first period is just Bobrovsky’s FLA tenure
i love it. i rember evethxin
the humble pie that the bolts ate was so damning, they ended up winning back to back cups
but this series is what fueled it
Still the greatest sports moment for me
Good times. 2 cups since then. We are okay!
This is why the President's Trophy is a "curse". Very seldom does a team that wins the President's Trophy win the Stanley Cup. The Lightning of 2018-19 were too complacent and were not really challenged during that season, so when they were faced with adversity they didn't know how to react. I am not a Lightning fan, but Tampa Bay knew they had to get grittier after this humbling series.
Skill does not win championships alone, that's what the 2018-19 Lightning had, a lot of skill and finesse, but no grit. Teams that tried to win on skill and skill alone, failed. The Washington Capitals tried it for so many years, until they broke through in 2018. After my Penguins won the cup in 2009, they tried to think they could outscore other teams to win another cup from 2010-15, and that recipe failed.
I always say if you do not have goaltending and cannot defend, you're not going anywhere in the playoffs. I don't care how potent your offense is and how many goals can be scored the postseason is a different animal than the regular season, goaltending, defense, and scoring timely goals are what win Stanley Cups, in that order.
