God I’m mad by my oilers 49 shots only managed 3 goals. Ducks 17 shots 4 goals that’s a problem and I’m getting sick and tired of these backups destroying the oilers too many goalies are too good it’s really infuriating. But it’s a classic oilers afternoon game and a bottom feeder team of course oilers would loose this one

Ducks can’t take much pride out of this. The entire third period looked like an Edmonton power play. It was always in the Ducks zone. Would have to be a leading candidate for undeserved victory of the year.

This is my first season watching the Oilers as a person who was born and raised near Edmonton and I was warned by people who were long time Oilers fans about how it feels to be an Oilers fan and this game made me realize exactly what they meant. Painful
Looks like the power rankings may see some movement at the bottom this week. Good for the Ducks! Dostel was amazing! And by the looks of the Edmonton guys going down the tunnel after the game was finished, they were not happy with the result at all…wonder how many guys either broke or attempted to break their sticks in frustration? I know McDavid did, pretty sure Leon D did as well.
I'm betting the whole Oiler's offense is getting sick and tired of having to win games because their defense suck so hard. Poor Woodcroft has to convince the offense to get back and bail out the defensemen and goalie. I'm sorry to say this but either they need to lose a few Defensemen and trade for some who actually wanna win or they need to get rid of Dave Manson and get a defense coach who can put a fire under the defensemen. Nurse was ok but Bouchard gave the puck away for one goal and screened his own goalie for another goal.
Kulak and Ceci were the only defensemen that played good defense today! 49 shots and they couldn't win it? Yes Dostal stood on his head but OMG! with that many shots with quality chances they should have statistically scored more than that! Edmonton is fighting themselves way more than the other team! And for the love of god! Trade Puljujarvi for a kit kat bar! Anything to get rid of that waste of space! He is constantly out of position or couldn't actually finish a pass in front of the net! The only reason his stats are decent is they keep him on a line with McDavid or RNG!
I like the guy personally but he really needs to be dealt away somewhere else. He would do better on any other team and the team would do better without him on it!

Nurse gave the puck away for the 1st Anaheim goal and was in the penalty box or the 2nd. Bouchard screens his own goaltender for the game winner. In order to win it seems the formula is that the offense is required to score 4+ goals to overcome the defensive lapses.
Oilers got goalied and thats all there is to it
