Got what we deserved. Dogshit second and third period. Constant breakdowns in the d zone and never just chip pucks out. Shout out to husso. Other that that tough one.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many players afraid to shoot the puck.
Sucks this season seems to quickly going the way of last year. It’s disheartening and not fun to watch.
Buddy’s sweater was tucked and I thought 8 got the winner not 9. My heart sunk , haha

19 shots on goal is not ideal for winning hockey games
I can’t believe we’re going to be playing irrelevant hockey in January for the 7th straight season. Not on track at all to be in the playoff hunt.
No wonder Larkin hasn’t signed yet. There’s only so much losing a player can take.
Desperately desperately DESPERATELY need to find shooting somewhere. Not even scoring. Just shooting. Raw shots. Us getting less than half of an opposing team’s shots cannot stand if we want to be competitive. We seriously don’t need to pass it for the perfect setup every time, shoot it and go for rebounds!
I’m getting worried that Lalondes “take the risk out of your game” is devolving into “play scared” we don’t really have the talent to create chances without taking a calculated risk. Idk getting old right now
We’re gonna break Husso with the remainder of this season with this style of play and that really bums me out.
Sometimes it looks like this team is going forward.
Other times it looks like 19-20 all over again.
I’m not sure which it is tonight but I sure as hell don’t like it. Coughed up two leads. Good teams don’t do that.

Something has changed recently. They look flat, getting peppered on the regular. Playing way too much in their own zone. They’re falling off a cliff as of late and need to figure it out.
Well when you keep doing drop passes instead of shooting it, thats what happens. This team hasn’t shown any change in the last few weeks. Literally the same dump and chase, one and done play in the offensive zone. Just stale.
2-7 in OT and SO this year and we’re not even halfway through the season
Pain is more than seasonal this year I guess
What is this team’s identity?
Very frustrated with how things are going now. Hoping it’s just because of the injuries, and this is the first year with a new coach/system.
Idk what happened though, started off looking so strong. We lost our confidence, tenacity, mojo.
What a game, what an atmosphere. Caps fans were juiced for this one.
It’s a little confusing to watch the Wings try to low-event their way through 3 on 3, lull themselves asleep, then cough up the puck anyways and lose. Like what’s the idea in going all in defensively when we’ve already gotten the tie point and not attacking at all?

thanks to /u/PrinceTyke for the clips it was overtime before I realised the game was on. I didn’t start to watch live during overtime so I waited for the game clips.
The special teams training did something but it’s not enough, I agree with some people, motivation is an issue. With so many injuries with the team, it’s easy to think you cannot have enough to win but we have all seen lesser teams succeed with less talent. Possibly, what could snap them out of it is Vrana’s slapshot, freaking love seeing him getting the goals on the right wing, I hope he gets his groove back, I know he is stoked being back in the team.
I’m just hopeful for the team, even though I live so far away, the heart is there.
I don’t wanna hear people parroting « at least it’s a point guys » or « stop being so reactionary » that was a terrible game and we are like over 1/3 of the way through the season. This is bad, can we pull our heads out of the sand please? Do the coaches have any response for how we’ve been playing or are they too just completely defeated?
