#LetsGoOilers
Neimo still struggles at times at movinig the puck . Really was exposed in the florida game they target him and pressure his side. So they may think he might need some time in the ahl to work on reading the play of moving the puck. Great he can punish the players and he does add that element which is important. But can he move the puck in high pressure times (ie playoff even playing 12-14 mpg) as a young inexperience d stay at home d man. . Why we are hearing tinordi and hagg. Hagg is more experience and can take on some top 4 mins if required on the left side .He is a hard nose experience d man. Going down the stretch drive and playoffs do you go with a young inexperience pair of neimo and bouchard, . that is a talk order to ask for the young pair. . Teams will target that pairing all day long esp on the road with last change. unless they go 7 and russell is in the line up. Right d top 4 agree. Love forsberg 29 yrs old look like he is starting to figure the game since last season. Less up and down more consistency is in game.
I like the idea of foresberg trade but like I said a 3 way deal would be the best option. Smith turris Archibald and samarukov to NJ and in return forsberg and a 5th round draft pick in this year's entry draft. Need to make cap space just in case and I this this deal would be the best
What do you guys think of prying Mackenzie Blackwood out of NJ for Koski + 2nd Rd pick or 2023 1st, + Rodrique, and Josh Manson for Barrie + 3rd Rd. Wouldn't mind Miles Wood as well but would have to include Yamo then. I think Jersey is the team to trade with.
Wow we had forsberg and we let him go. I agree Mike Smith is done. Definitely stick with koskinen for now and see if we can get a better goalie than smith. We ain't winning the cup yet but atleast an upgrade in net so there's a chance for the second round
Mike u said it perfectly. We have enough fire power on forward our d needs to shut the other teams players down. And most importantly a goalie that can make a save.
Mike Smith to Arizona and to the Oilers one row being sold out in the Arizona arena for an entire month…. Yes I know I said it one entire month of us filling the Arizona arena row.
Koskinen is our clear as Day 1A goalie. And has and will steal games, you can't blame him for what was infront of him. Everyone's numbers have improved after woody. Get rid of Swartz and smith. Bring up skinner.
I think both Smith and Koski will pick up their game these next few weeks. If that happens, I don't think they'll move either of them.
If your gonna make a move, it has to be for a sure shot guy or something close to it. I see someone like Forsberg as a bigger gamble than keeping what we have now. We must remember, Smith last year was really really good, both regular season and playoffs. He just needs to get some reps in to get his confidence back.
Another factor is that Smith is talked about as a leader in the locker room. I don't see him being moved out.
The coming off-season goalie market is really weak and I don't think they'll add anyone. They will go with Smith and Skinner 50/50 next year.
Look we all know that ken Holland have to start making good trades for the Oilers to have a good future plus we will see if he's good GM or the same old story???
Sorry Patrick, I think you're wrong about Koskinen. Ever since he sniped back at Tippett for calling him out, he's been a beast. 7 0 1 in his last 8 starts with massive outings against Calgary, Florida and Philadelphia. I think it's possible that we are just now seeing the Mikko that Chiarelli saw. My opinion is that Tippett's constant reliance on Connor, Leon and Smith wore on the team. Derek Ryan's words spoke volumes to me about the general state of the locker room under Tippett. I also think that when McD talked about Kosk as an unsung hero, that comment may have been a subtle reference to the way Tipp treated Koskinen as well. Of course, only time will tell but I'd hate to trade Kosk when he seems to have found a new lease on a Tippettless life.

Why would you give up something that we had already doesn’t make any sense.
Forsberg sucks.

Watch Holland trade Skinner. It will happen.

Holland will keep Smith no matter what even if it screws the team.

How about this trade ….
Mike Smith to Arizona and to the Oilers one row being sold out in the Arizona arena for an entire month…. Yes I know I said it one entire month of us filling the Arizona arena row.
you need a good goalie coach bcuz edmonton has failed for 15 years with weak goal tending
Mike right nose We don't need fire power, we need a good D.
