Sabres fan here since 1970 if I had to choose between the Leafs last 5 or 6 first Rd k'o's or Buffalos eleven straight yrs not in the tourney I'd take the Leafs pain because that would mean a lot of reg season wins which is a lot more fun then losing all the time especially in the cold winters of Buffalo…

What’s the rational this year? Playing the two time Stanley cup champs? Tampa has been off for a bulk of the season and they just squeaked it out of the first round. Based on what I saw in the series against Tampa, I wanted to see the leafs make it out of the first round.
The leafs on paper were the better team this season, had home ice advantage, outplayed Tampa for majority of the series and it still wasn’t enough. Accolades are nice, but if you can’t advance to cup contention, it makes it those accolades seem meaningless.
