Pretty insane that the Atlantic has the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 8th top teams by underlying numbers.
Leafs were 18th overall during that dreadful trip out West, have since slowly but surely risen. Each game they’ve gone up 1 or 2 spots. Now they sit with the top dogs.
If our shooting % normalizes (we should be top 3-4), there is no reason we can’t challenge Carolina and Boston.

I’m in my 20s and I’m honestly not sure if I’ve ever seen a leafs team be 2nd in GA per game

One thing that is kinda nice is we’ve also got the 7th « easiest » schedule remaining, in terms of opponents, while the teams we’re fighting for home ice/top seed are all in the top 15 for most difficult (NJ 3, FLA 5, TB 10, BOS 13, CAR 15).
Obviously doesn’t mean much, but there’s definitely a path to making ground on Boston and/or distancing from the rest of the pack.
