(Beautiful flop to the ice move by Nurse to screen Skinner on the 4th goal.) … 0 for 3 against the worst PK in the league – by the best PP in the league. … Like I said after the last game, I’ll believe they’ve changed when they win 3 or 4 games in a row – not when they throw away points against a team they should have beaten (and who played the night before). This team has a serious attitude problem.
Too bad we still didn't have Bear. I dont know if it was the coaches plan but Bear and Hughes were out on the ice all night against Connor and Leon, holding them to 0 pts 5 on 5. The defense needs a major shake up! Trade Nurse and Bouchard for Josi and Ekholm.
Nah, I disagree. I could plainly see that the Oilers slacked off for the 2nd and 3rd period. They had moments of rush but they didn't push hard for the last 40 minutes of the game and again it was the defensive side of the game that cost them the game. Way too many turnovers and failed clears out of their end of the ice.
I listened to the game on 639 ched tonight. The first goal like Patrick said a fluck. The second goal shouldn't have happened do to 97 getting hauled down. So take the the first 2 van city goals off the board and this game belonged to the boys even though van city was playing as good as they were.
Where mike Smith when you need him 😂😂😂😂😂 , goaltending and defense has been a problem for at least last 3 years , and still not fix , clean house in front office
This was another tough one to watch. I don't know with the countless problems with the team and Nurses ridiculous contract. We can't make the moves we need. It will eventually cost us either McDavid or Drai to get the pieces and with Bettman screwing the NHL by raising the salary cap 1 million instead of 4.5 million. It will be rough for a while. We need John or Erik ASAP! Connor and drai could have a better defense passer or can have toughness defense with klingberg… nurse and bouch has no killer instinct nurse keep going on his knees and bouch is only has good wrist shots
Every year at this time right before Christmas there's a lot going thru many players and referees minds (shopping, family, in-laws, 5 days off, etc …). Their minds are not on hockey. Same goes for the refs, they just want this last game to be over with and so they don't call many penalties.
