im a fan of him going back, but dont follow the team closely

from what i read, some love him, some hate him

    whats the majority opinion

  2. Dan_Rogla

    Keep.

What would you trade him for?

  3. Vivid_Walk_1405

There is no majority. His offense hasn’t been great since last season but he is still a very valuable player. If we end up in a cap crunch Dow the road he’s probably the piece to be moved though

Trade for who? Keep instead of who?

Sammy G is kinda like a Swiss Army knife…. He has a ton of gadgets, but none of them are really all that effective. But he does possess them.

So do you just keep him and hope he’s one of those guys who’s just a late bloomer? Keep extending him for minimal contracts cause he’s a try hard guy?

The reason why some love him (try hard and likable) and some don’t care if he’s here or not (not all that great at anything but is serviceable as a 6D but never worth they hype) is why he’s “polarizing”

I think you have to keep him at least until you know that Byram is capable of playing 70+ games in a season.

  6. not_taylorswift1213

If the avs were gonna trade him they woulda done it by now

  7. ceimbert

So you trade him, how do you replace his spot on the blue line with a comparable top 4 d man with a contract that isn’t significantly more than his?

  8. elishaski

Trade if a 2C is available at the deadline.

  9. Miller1128

Defensive liability and doesn’t score enough to make up for it. If you can get a 20-25 goal 2C at the deadline it’s a no-brainer. Proved we don’t need him to win.

Seems to me he makes more mistakes then positive plays. He may be a net positive but by a very slim margin. I’d be happy to get a solid 2C for him and a draft pick.

Why are we talking about how polarizing he is after a game in which he scored the game winner and earned the first star?

  12. hanigwer

Sharks will trade a 2nd rounder for him 🙂

  13. AustinTodd

Absolutely keep. To trade would be a horrendous decision, and this season has showed us that.

  14. kamekotsuruga

i’d love to trade him but i also don’t care too much if we keep him.

  15. JustBoredIsAll

Are you really trying to raigbait your own folk, OP?

Scratch that. OP is a Habs fan.

  16. StallOneHammer

Keep unless we can get like Seider or Fox one for one

  17. Jonesyrules15

Trade if it’s the right move.

  18. SnooPuppers5139

Nasty handles and smooth skating. Love him
