  1. I agree with him.Even know he a great player he doesn’t bring the phisical or leadership qualities for a playoff team.
But will still bring in points

  2. Whats so controversial about that take by John Scott? I would have to agree with him because there are atleast 5 players that are better than him in the playoffs. It is not always about points. Not to mention most of his points came against the shitty flames who are notorious for choking in the playoffs and players like stamkos, kucherov, mackinnon, makar, shesterkin are far more valuable as they can do things that mcdavid cant (ie up the physicality or lead ur team past an obstacle instead of shaking his head and complaining about everything).

  3. I still remember the headline “montreal trades for nhl allstar” and being so excited as a habs fan then seeing who the allstsr was

  4. Yeah John Scott is crazy McDavid would be the first person on my team and that is saying something since my favorite player is Matthews

  5. Have to agree with Scott. McDavid can put up points. But until he leads a team, until he at least makes it to the Stanley Cup Final, people will doubt him. He has to learn the same lesson others learned: Gretzky, Crosby, Lemieux, Yzerman, Sakic…. all these players were criticized until they learned what they had to do to win it all. McDavid has yet to learn that lesson. Until he does, people will continue to doubt him.

  6. People like john say these types of things because they know it will get media attention… only reason.. because he knows if he didn’t say something controversial.. no one would care what he had to say!! 😂

  7. Elite offence is not enough to push teams to the cup. I would be willing to take a slight hit on top end offence if that allows me to also have elite defence.

  8. I love how you can be a rivals fan, and have no biased. Very rare to find, and that's why people love your channel!

  9. Top 1 player? Sure Maybe, because Crosby is still around. Top 3 is a no brainer.

  10. There’s issues with Jon Scott’s take. I used to listen to his podcast but I started disagreeing with a lot of what he said so I stopped paying attention. If I’m building a playoff team from scratch in taking mcdavid at 1. There’s only a couple other guys that I may consider. Vasilevksy. To win in the playoffs you need to have good goaltending and not just good goaltending you need top level goal keeping, vasi has proven 3 years in a row now that he can preform when he needs to. 3 straight finals and can carry a team. Kucherov. I know everyone is worried about the injuries and I totally get that, but this guys playoff stats are absurd, the consistency he has shown would make him a top pick. Now with all that said like I stated before I’m taking McD best player in the world no question. Jon Scott is wrong and I think just says that to gather the attention if he truly doesn’t think mcdavid should not be picks in the TOP 5 players.🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

  11. Bro. you're in the same business as him. You know exactly why he would say something like that. YOU post something like that people aren't go ballistic on twitter. Altough you're getting there, thanks for the video's. Guy's like him, Maxime Lapierre , Latendresse I;m just shooting names I think I've seen on podcast are former player's that maybe 50 people remember 1 play they did in their entire career. They're looking to start up something to get more views. Honestly I don't blame them. It's how thing's work now. His goal is to make people like you that have viewers post something in disbelief in order for me to go see exactly what he said (which I will do right after lol) post something (which I probably will do, I didn't get a life for christmas, only time off which is worst for my rants lol) and now I'll start getting his damn videos in my feed…..awwwwww man lol I think you get the point

  12. I need to stay off all social media. I am so sick of people ragging on the best player in the world because “he” hasn’t won a cup, like this is tennis and it’s all on him. You cannot play better than he did last playoffs. He was leading or tied on the team for hits. He lead the league in playoff points in three rounds. Scored the winning goals, the tying goals. Was insane in plus minus, if you wanna count that. The online community is genuinely ruining the joy of watching him. I’ve been looking through past cup winners. It’s NOT an individual achievement. Doesn’t matter who gets the conn smyth. I love Crosby and dude didn’t even lead his team in points either year he got the conn smyth. Gretzky never won the cup after leaving Edmonton. Edmonton won it again without him. Without Coffey, they still won. Because there was a whole team there.
Genuinely a massive Crosby fan but people need to stop acting like he’s some sort of god when it comes to playoffs and just made the penguins win as if their wasn’t insane goaltending behind him and a whole team stepping up. Sorry, I’m just so sick of all the negativity and people trying to bring him down. Or saying he’s leaving Edmonton and all this shit. This dude WANTS to win IN Edmonton. He wants to win WITH Draisiatl. He doesn’t want to win because a team is totally built and he can add to it. He is a leader. I don’t care what other people say or see, he is. And he’s a wonderful human being. This is everything that is wrong with social media. Too many people spitting misinformation and treating opinions as facts. Ugh. So done with this.

  13. I actually agree with John Scott here. An NHL team has $81.5 million to work with, and Connor McDavid consumes $12.5 million of that alone. He's earned that paycheck no doubt, but there's a reason the Kings were able to take the Oilers to game seven last year. You've got to have some parity across all four lines, and not just the twenty to thirty minutes that McDavid is on the ice. If I'm working within the NHL salary cap and assembling a team, I'm not taking McDavid either.

  14. Remember last year when John Scott said he didn't think Ovi would be able to get to 30 goals?

  15. Calgary Flames are the living embodiment of mediocrity. Even during their Cup run in 2004, they were the most boring team in hockey. The “safe is death” quote was made by Tortorella at the expense of the Calgary Flames. When I think of the Flames, I think of a team that isn’t bad enough to mock but also isn’t good enough to admire. If Purgatory was represented by a hockey team, it would be the Calgary Flames. No hate. Just facts.

  16. Easily 5 players I'd take before McDavid. McDavid might be the best offensive player in the league, that's only one part of a game. He's not stellar at all anywhere else other than offense sadly.

  17. McDavid, Draisital, Crosby, Makar, Hedman.

Additionally you could put Mack in there but I like the chemistry of the dynamic duo

  18. I mean until you've won you haven't won. Some guys take a long time to figure out how to big effective in the playoffs. And it aint all about scoring a lot of goals and points. It's often about doing things to wear down another team over time. Scott aint wrong. There are at least a half dozen other guys I'd take over McDavid right now if my goal was to win the cup.

  19. Did you go to the game tonight i saw someone who looks like you and they said there name was Johnny

  20. pretty sure that quote is fake from John Scott, there’s literally no evidence of him saying this.

  21. I would take Huberdeau over him for a playoff roster or a proven champion like Kadri or Coleman
