Boy, everything you can visibly see and objectively measure suggests C Wood is a very good player. The eye test is solid. His comments and body language have been solid. Team mates speak positively of him… sometimes even without prompting.
But everyone in the media alludes to some gray/soft stuff related to him being mercurial or difficult. Yet he’s done nothing but be solid and steadily improve.
And the Mavs don’t think a guy who HAS now contributed on this team is worth 2-3 years? He’s not worth what THJ got 2 years ago? He’s not worth less than what John Collins makes?
Every negative I’ve heard about anything regarding C Wood since he’s arrived has been gray, unsubstantiated and vague.
Mavs are once again gonna think they’re smarter than everyone else and lose. Sign him please. And if you’re too arrogant to do that, then please trade him for whatever you can get.
