Miller was completely in the wrong and the confusion at the last minute lead to the goal against. It’s fucking bizarre to pull your goalie when you haven’t even been able to enter the end zone let alone set up play.
While I’m talking shit here, I don’t remember if it was the second period or the 3rd, but that weird play when the jets tagged up after being off side, miller literally stood the entire time in front of the puck and watched them tag up. He then watched as they completely skated around him and took the shot on Delia.
Why would you go to the bench when the puck is still in your own end AND you know Miller is just gonna turn the puck over at the blue line???

I’ve never seen a player yell at the goaltender like that and slam his stick against the back of the net when Miller did absolutely fuck all what a spaz and an absolute cancer on the team. Management needs to bite the bullet and admit they made the wrong choice on who to extend

Weak call on a penalty shot looks to be the difference maker, but the shots tell the story. We have up 10 high danger chances in the second period alone, it’s not news to anyone but defensively we’re just a car crash, constant break aways and odd man rushes.

Miller screaming at our 3rd-string goalie, all the while he’s been coasting this entire season, basically sums it up.
I dunno about NHL level obviously, but as a former goalie, 99% of the time the coach or asst coach made the call of when you go. It was obvious, sometimes one of the guys would come back and tell you with about a couple minutes left – to watch the coach for the signal. They’d be swinging their arms and yelling at you to go, you couldn’t miss it. It was an awkward play, why was Miller retreating instead of pushing the puck up the ice. That’s what messed Delia up more than anything.
Miller was 100% in the wrong there. Anybody who has ever played before knows that the goalie does not randomly decide go to the bench, he waits for a signal from one of the coaches. That is how it is at every level of hockey. Bruce did not signal for Delia because they could not get the puck out of their own zone. Clown move for a player with a letter who is supposed to be a leader…
We need a new owner who’ll tell managment to blow this team up and get Miller off the team.
