I had my right leg amputated in early 1979. Around that time, I was gifted a get well card and an autographed hockey stick signed by the Rangers. I started watching and a fan was born! I still have both items to this day.

I listened to this game on the Armed Forces Radio Network in Frankfurt, Germany. The following year I was still there and listened to the Islanders defeat the Flyers for the Stanley Cup in game 6.
