   If there is one thing I have learned from NHL drafts, it’s that goalies are never a sure bet.

   Some Greta goalies came late in the draft and some early draft goalies are complete busts.

   There is a longer incubation period for goalies than skaters and a huge difference from one league to another.

   I would much rather see us pay extreme attention and money to improving the D (and coaching) and take care of the goalie situation when Daccord is ready to come up and Gru’s contract is ending. Far less cap space drama and a good D can absolutely make Gru and Driedger top end goalies again.
