Après cela, il réfléchit à la question de savoir si les choses sont devenues obsolètes pour les Penguins à l’ère Sullivan et pourquoi certains fans doivent « atténuer un peu » quand il s’agit de lui, même si la critique est valable. Pens screwed up a four-goals lead by relinquishing it to the resilient Wings and lost in OT. How disgusting can they become?

Hunter, I completely agree with you on Jeff Carter and Brian Dumoulin. While these guys have been great players in this league, their play has drastically diminished. Carter is because of age, he's not the player he used to be and Dumoulin I think is in large part due to injuries that has slowed him down.
I get these guys are under contract, but you can still diminish their ice time, because it's costing the team. I completely agree about Drew O'Connor. I think he can be a great bottom 6 guy, but he never gets enough ice time when he's up here playing. Sullivan scratched Kapanen when he wasn't performing I think it's really time to send a message to these two. Ty Smith should dress next game over Brian Dumoulin. Jeff Carter, to your point is bogging down the whole third line I think it's holding back guys that are on the ice with him. One option I like, of course he is on personal leave right now, but when Sam Poulin was up here earlier this year when Carter was injured, I liked what I saw from him as a third line center. I think once Carter's days are done, I think the team has something there with Poulin being a third line center.
Dumoulin's play, this season, has been so bad that he's dragging the other defensemens' play down. Rutta's been pretty solid playing with every other defenseman, even POJ.
What about the first line? Or the second line? The top two pairings? They've been on the ice for the majority of the goals against, in the last two games.
Look at the shot charts for the last two games…opponents are camping out in front of our net. We don't have the toughness or physicality to protect DeSmith or Jarry from so many high danger shots.
Memes for the Pens blowing 2, 3, and 4 goal leads have gotten so much use this season, it's sad.
