  1. Certainly a busy day in hockey history—whatever is going on with Letang, I wish him well. The Blues are hurting in several ways, and, now , with O' Reilly and Tarasenko both out long-term, the season seems to be slipping away ( I stand by my preseason, 33-42-7 for 73 pts and no playoffs prediction for them) Mikkola is also gone by seasons' end IMHO, as the Blues' roster changes over the next couple of months. Personally, I feel that Rangers are making a mistake if they trade Lafreniere for a rental player–need some long-term assets in return. Thanks for another excellent report.

  2. It would be nice but I don't see it happening it would be good for rangers having 3 very talented centre's besides Zibanejad is at 45.5% Bo is an improvement but rangers won't have cap for Bo to resign so it doesn't make any sense for the Rangers and there asking price is too much for a guy who hasn't proved himself at the NHL atm.

Some Rangers fans are saying Bo + Schenn and a prospect 🤣.
The Canucks have some good prospects like Podkozin used to be projected a top 3 in his draft yr, he's proven himself to be an NHLer he's just in the AHL to get more ice time, I can see that being a reasonably fair 1 for 1 as much as I don't wanna trade Podz he has good speed, shot, strength that's tough trading if u wanna take that risk on Laffy if ur the Canucks.

  3. I must be living in the twilight zone. If the Canucks are going to trade Horvat, which I don’t they should, shouldn’t you try and get players who will improve your defense?

  4. What the Blues do with O'Reilly and Tarasenko likely depends on where they are at the deadline. Their playoff hopes just took a hit with both of them out for at least a month. Who knew that the Blues would take such a tumble? I didn't like them losing Husso and Perron, but usually they find a way to offset stuff like that. I don't think signing Thomas so quickly, then leaving O'Reilly just hanging for an extension was a good idea.

  5. How does a guy who runs a Hockey Channel not understand that there is a salary cap? They will not rent a player for a first overall if they can't sign him.

  6. On the one hand, the Canucks need a top 4 defensive defenseman, not a forward. They really need a younger version of Luke Schenn. Or 2. But if the Rangers want to take Miller's garbage attitude and his big upcoming contract coming up off Vancouver's hands, I'm all for it. I'd take a straight trade at this point. If you're over 26, you should be considered trade bait at the right price and for me, Lafreniere is good enough straight across for Miller. That's probably why they didn't trade him in the summer. Teams were hesitant to take him for one year and they didn't want to pay him big money if he had a reputation for be a locker room issue. I was kind of on board with the trade that brought him to Vancouver, especially after his first season. But it was apparent even then that he wasn't being paid for his defence and this isn't the 80s or even the early 90s. People ragged on Pavel Bure in his final years in Vancouver, but I never saw him quit on plays like Miller does. When his team lost the puck, Pavel was the first guy hustling to try to get the puck back. Obviously, after he signed his big contract, the hits seemed to disappear, but I never thought he was anywhere near as lazy as Miller is.

  7. The all star game has become so totally boring. There is nothing intriguing about it at all

  8. I think Colorado makes more sense than NYR. Something like Newhook or Byram
