That was a highly entertaining game. We played well. A few mistakes that ended up in the net, but otherwise very well played.

Today I had an exam in school. When I was done, I raised my hand and yelled “HURRICANES!”
My teacher smiled and took my paper. She knew I was finished.
Watched the game with Canes’ commentary tonight. They couldn’t go 5 minutes without talking about how relentless the Canes are. Then as soon as the game ended, they complained about the refs.
They also did a « piece » during the 2nd intermission where they talked about the 2020 Rangers/Canes series in the bubble and how the dominant the Canes were. I was screaming at my tv, « But what happened last year?! »

I hate Carolina a lot less now that Tony D isn’t there.
Was at the game. Last 7 minutes were like playoffs in there.

Really entertaining game. The Canes forecheck was impressive…this team had no answer in the first, but hung in there and completely flipped the script by game’s end.
Some fortuitous bounces and officiating for a change didn’t hurt…it’s been long overdue.
The first period defensive miscues were alarming, but the net level of effort and play this past month has been excellent.
Love to see these kids becoming integral contributors. Kakko’s an absolute force every single shift right now.

Love all the big hits too. Made things much less comfortable.
Krav and Kakko look better and more confident each time they are on the ice. Isn’t crazy what can happen when these kids are given ice time and a chance to get a feel for the game. Now they just need more than 20 seconds of PP time I still can’t wrap my head around it.

Great win, I’m especially pleased with how the team adjusted to counter Carolina’s forecheck in the 3rd period. Any controversy regarding to that broken stick call at the end of the game aside, I thought that we were the better team for the last two periods after a shaky 1st. I think we genuinely outplayed them tonight. Really enjoying kakko on the first line. He’s stringers and stronger each game. Refs were shit for both sides but fortunately they didn’t decide the game, only put it away. That’s an awesome win against a very good team
Prediction: Kakko’s ceiling is actually higher than any of us are currently imagining.
This team plays up and plays down to opponents, they didn’t look this fast all season. Hopefully this game makes something click for them and they can play like this regularly
