Luukkonen's results relative to what the Sabres are giving up are insane.
Obviously you'd like the team to clean things up in front of him (and they will a bit) but getting wins despite that is how you sneak into a WC spot. pic.twitter.com/eyp5Q9tk0H

if you don’t know what the terms mean you can find the definitions [here](https://evolving-hockey.com/glossary/standard-goalie-tables/), but basically the idea is to describe what the expected results are based on the environment (xFSv%) and then describe his unadjusted results (FSv%) and how well a goalie is doing relative to their environment (dFsv% and xGAR/FA) relative to the median. so UPL’s chart is saying he’s playing in a really challenging environment, his save percentage (unadjusted results) relative to the median is about average, but when you factor in shot quality he looks much better relative to the median NHL goalie, which is why he’s been great despite a 3.39 GAA and a .894 SV%.
