So don’t be. I’m not planning on following the team until there is something worth following.
I’ve been a fan since 1998, and put up with a lot of dark years, but they are not worth my time anymore. I don’t want to support a directionless team, inept management or an abusive owner.

We are used to it.

Its not so bad as long as you are a fan of other sports and have other hobbies and can just check back in every few months to see if the fire is out yet. But yeah, other than that.. not wrong

This team will be nothing until Aqua sells, or has a giant realization that the vision he has set is wrong and just plain bad, and I wouldn’t hold my breath on a narcissist admitting that.

Being a Canucks fan is the equivalent to being in an abusive relationship. The highs are high and the lows are ugly. They keep promising to change and be better. They say sorry and they’ll never do it again, and we believe them. But they never change…

I was at that ‘game’ last night. Absolutely farcical. No wonder I have an apathetic demeanour around the Vancouver Canucks.

You guys are still watching and going to games?
Good on ya if you are, but I’m out until I know that this team is trying to follow a longterm vision worthy of my time and money.

I forgot they played last night, assumed they’d lose horribly, and they did. Every time I tune in, they lose. When I don’t, they usually lose. I’m not sure if I *am* a fan right now — I started following them in 2014 and pretty much this whole time they’ve been fucking awful with just enough bright spots to string me along for another season.
I can take average or below-average, but I’m tired man. I’m tired of being a capped out bottom feeder. I’m tired of watching a team that doesn’t care as much as… almost every other team I’ve watched in the past few seasons.

I swear some of us all need to seriously stop basing our whole personality on a sports franchise
