Sneaky way to drop Sandstrom down without having to deal with waivers.
Makes sense even if it’s not just technicalities to get around the waivers. He hasn’t played in forever.
Huge opportunity for Ersson, if he plays well enough (or even keeps his save% respectable) Sandstrom may not get another chance.
