If you can acquire Bo Horvat or Timo Meier and extend them, yes you trade Raty. Unfortunately, the Isles cannot sign top free agents. They can ONLY trade. (And even that is questionable with current day Lou) As long as the deal isn't ridiculous, you need to import younger top line talent. All these other teams find a way to trade for top line guys. No more excuses for Lou. If they fail to make the playoffs this season and Lou once again does nothing to improve the scoring, Lou must go and any new GM will want to bring in a new coaching staff of their own. This franchise could look VERY different next season if they miss the postseason again.
Gonna be interesting what kind of a trade package they can put together n for who, but with that said they're built for the physicality of the playoffs as is if they can "sneak" in. If they move say anders lee and varlamov n get Patrick kane would be insanely cool. Panthers 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
