poor Marchenko is gonna be healthy scratched next game or some shit

  2. Lost_For_Life

There’s the one game of this stretch we shouldn’t have won but did

  3. I hate shootouts with a passion. Even when we win (which is rare) it’s just unsatisfying lmao

  4. Spooky_Meat_666

The future is bright with these kids

  5. hnglmkrnglbrry

Marchenko gonna fuck around and win the Calder. 8 goals in 15 games!

  6. onlyhalfminotaur

That KJ shootout goal… how could anyone stop that?

  7. ddottay

    1. Marchenko carried us

    2. Nice exciting win, been a while since we had one of those

    3. The kids are alright

  8. tttony2x

outshot 41-18 and we win in a shootout, someone give korpi a raise or like a cookie or something

  9. I’m okay with the win for our big goal scoring boy!

  10. AlanLGuy

It’s nice to win one for once.

Johnson and Marchenko put the team on their backs tonight. Another stellar game from Korpisalo. Going to be very sad to lose him 🙁

  11. Marchenko is as good as advertised. We had to wait a while, but he’s finally here and worth every penny.

Might jump into the Calder race if he keeps this up!

  12. shaggy4dog

What’s fun, betting a free $200 bet on the Blue Jackets to win

  13. mammiemilker

Marchenko is a beaut… postgame interview was one for the books

“was like dream…” & “wow, I work more”

  14. Marchenko is so damn likable. Even with little English he can speak you can still see it. What a fun game, excited to see these young guys more and more as the season goes on.

  15. Kent Johnson is so filthy even Oscar the Grouch wouldn’t touch him.

  16. mccurdy3

That game gave me hope for our future. The young guns have talent.

Larsen for Jack Adams!!!! Greatest coach in CBJ!

But honestly, it’s good to see the team get this one. I’m glad to see them play with some fight. In the words of Marchenko, « ees goood. Ees heppy »

This time last year, he was marooned in a second tier Russian league as punishment for wanting to come to North America.

So happy for the kid. I hope he starts getting more ice time. He clearly is ready.

    1. Might need to get a Marchenko jersey, he’s gonna be the real deal
    2. Korpi is the best goalie on our roster I don’t know if there’s any debate on that now. If Tarasov is the future they might need to just eat the Elvis contract to cut him and keep Korpi as the #2.
    3. If we had a healthy Zach and Blankenburg I honestly think we could string together some wins with a better defense.

  20. squeeepp

Lucky to hold on to that W. Hopefully they can recovery and put another solid effort in when the get to DC

  21. terrafirma91

We got Johnny Hockey and Laine, but our youngins are the exciting ones

Kent, Kirill, and Beyruether are the ones that are so exciting to watch

EDIT: Okay not Beyruether, yall right. He just had recency bias.

I brought a bunch of nieces to their first hockey game today. They were on the edge of their seats so much, but think they are hockey fans now.

  23. 919Firefighter

Good game, boys and girls. I appreciate all of the hospitality today at the arena. Had a ton of fun even if the Hurricanes Hurricaned

Aside from the goalie shove, Meyer has been convincing me to stay lately. Kid has been solid on that fourth line. Marchenko and Johnson need to be paired together next game imo, would like to see a top nine of 13-91-86, 14-96-52, and 72-34-29 tomorrow but that’s not gonna happen

  26. defmartian0031

congrats on beating the canes -a rangers fan

  27. slowclapcitizenkane

I just don’t know what Gudbranson brings to the ice if he ain’t bringing his fists.

  28. Lazy0ak

Lol, love JLGP, but what a boomer take in the post game show. Says he thinks there needs to be a chaser in the shootout because forwards are too skilled and it’s unfair for the goalies. Wouldn’t put it past the NHL though to try to ruin something exciting like the crazy skilled plays we get to see now by some of the young players around the league.

  29. Fabresque_

    The Korpisalo, Johnson, Marchenko show.

It’s been a rough season but seeing the young guys doing well is always a welcome sign, we have a future in this team if they can stay healthy and motivated.

Add in a top 4 pick next year, + we’ll have Johnny for at least 2-3 more good years, I think we can get something going.

Ride out this season, find a whole new coaching staff, get our pick, and we’ll have something to cheer on.

  30. SEND_ME_YOUR_CAULK

Marchenko seems to be the real deal. I always get skeptical over KHL prospects because Abramov was one who lit it up and has yet to crack the NHL, but man Marchenko is showing off why we drafted him. For this being his rookie season, that’s a good showing.

What happened to the feetpics guy?
