Dumping the puck in when our whole line is offside and we have an empty net is just so on brand for the Red Wings. Disappointed it was Seider who did it, he normally plays smarter than that.

  2. matthewdurand

Tanguay has done a great job with the powerplay this year. Really glad we brought him back this season.

**Pros**: Hellberg **Cons**: Too long to type, this team isn’t worth me getting early carpal tunnel syndrome

  4. jaredsurreddit

Just fire Alex Tanguay into the sun please. Single handedly killing our offense when we have a man advantage.

I feel bad for Walman and Larkin.

Bring the whole gang in to watch you play and this is the result. It’s like when you’re a kid and it’s your first play and you pee your pants on stage

  6. taschdaddy

Quick question for y’all, do you think this is how Yzerman envisioned this season going?

  7. So, at this rate who’s Stevie selling?

After those world juniors, I want Bedard, bad

  8. jfstompers

We’re all beyond frustrated watching this how do you think playing in it feels. Playing in it for.years. That’s why the Larkin contract scares the crap out of me.

  9. NoiseInfinite2716

Here marks the line where I give up on the playoffs

  10. re_zacks

This roster is objectively better than last year but far less enjoyable to watch. Feels bad, man. Getting really difficult to make the time to watch every game now.

I’m curious about the reasoning behind our dump and chase approach, and why it seems to have stuck around in the Lalonde era.

I miss the days when we were a possession monster, it’s just so much more entertaining to watch.

We’ve lost 9 straight to the fucking Leafs. And it’ll be 10 after we lose at home next week. I think I need to take a break from watching games for a bit.

  13. Shotokanguy

I feel like I just watched them spend half of the hockey game struggling to get the puck in the zone, struggling to get to it, struggling to hang onto it, struggling to make a pass, and struggling to get a shot. Just constant failure, over and over. Ineffective in every way.

I don’t think this team has bad players. I think this roster’s potential is great. To be so massively unsuccessful, as this team has been for over a month, there are systemic issues. Coaching needs to make changes.

I stopped taking melatonin to help me fall asleep

Now I just turn on game replays with the volume turned low

  15. drinkwineandscrew

Walman played well again tonight. And uhhh yeah that’s it more or less

  16. BellsBeerBestBeer

Improve the roster, change the coaching staff — same old dump in and whip the puck around to nobody dumb hockey. Something about this team is doomed to forever play that way

  17. xenonwarrior666

Griffins loses in the shoot out. Saved 36 out of 38 shots.

I know people are pointing fingers at the coaching staff, but I’m gonna go against the grain and say that when the coaching staff was almost entirely cleared out from last year, and some solid FA signings were made to supplement the core players, but the same issues we’ve seen from previous seasons just keep cropping up, then maybe the issue is with that core of players.

It’s sacrilegious, I know, but when everything else is different except that core, then it makes you wonder.

I will say Tanguay absolutely should be loaded into a cannon and fired into the sun; the PP is inexcusably inept.

Edit: Also can somebody please get the rest of the Area 51 files from Ozzie’s Shack before he erases all evidence of the government’s complicity in an alien plot to colonize the Earth?

  19. Weary-Appearance-709

Is it too late to tank hard for Bedard??

  20. ervelee

Not much to look forward to with the wings. Always a fan. Watching other teams rebuilding with speed and high levels of talent, they have been and are passing the Wings. The free agent signings like Kubalik and Maatta and the trade for Husso have been positive. Chairat’s all over the map, unpredictable and unreliable. Copp is okay. Second half of season will be once again large margin losses and talk of draft picks we won’t get.

I see no fire from coaching. I see fire from coaches and players on developing young talent and pushing for playoffs on several teams. Hoping for the best.

  21. xenonwarrior666

The naysayers convinced me. Gotta trade everyone , sell the team and restart the rebuild. Hell move the team to Quebec.

  22. TheEnglishNerd

Ah the familiar feeling of losing in regulation to a division rival.

  23. TrenBot

Are we sure Larkin won’t test FA

    This season getting dicey

  24. aniiimaI

This team is getting hard to watch again, I gave up catching every game like a week after the all star break last year but now it’s starting to look like I’m giving up well before then this year.

    Losing is exhausting.

  25. Funny_Groundbreaking

What a boring ass team lol
