  1. I remember in 2011 with like a month left in the season the Canucks were number 1 in all of:
    Goals for
    Goals against
    Goal differential
    Power play percentage
    Penalty kill percentage
    Faceoff
    Save percentage
    GAA
    Most 10 goal scorers

  2. You could argue it's more impressive in today's NHL with 32 teams, more travel, then it was in the 1920s and 40s when there were only 6 teams, all basically in the eastern timezone.

  3. There’s a few reason for this. First Ullmark. He’s having a crazy Tim Thomas 2010-11 like year so far. Second is Monty. He has opened up the offense while being able to keep the same dominant defense that they have had. And third you can tell that they are playing for Bergeron and want to win him another cup before he retires. And finally depth which is something they didn’t really have in the past few years.

  4. Idk why but I'm like 80% certain they aren't going to win the cup, it just feels like there's no way they're gonna keep this up or they'll choke in the playoffs.

  5. You didn't really answer how they're doing it though? The team is not that much different from last years team…..except for the coach. That's where I think they struck gold. The team had been drilled for six years in Cassidy's defense first system (which had burned out a lot of the players frankly– Krejci, Debrusk, even Bergy — has anyone noticed how he seems to be much happier this year? He's smiling, vocal with the team which he never really was before and just seems really happy in interviews etc. Anyway, my theory for how they're doing it is that being drilled in Cassidy's defense first system and then add in Monty's everyone skating everyone contributing to the offense system has created a magic stew that the players are really loving playing. IDK if it was planned or just a happy accident (I have doubts Neely or the GM said in the off season "We need to do this to unlock the team's potential" but I think maybe Monty knew he could have stumbled into the perfect situation. Anyway that's my two cents. As a B's fan I'm sure enjoying it though

  6. Coming from a fan: My take is that the new coach is just what the players needed. Meanwhile Ullmark, Debrusk, Frederik and Foligno have seriously stepped up. The rest are mostly also playing on a level above of what was expected of them. We have 3 solid, offensively dangerous lines when everyone's healthy and a great 4th line to boot. It's just too much for most opposing teams. That said, I think they haven't been as good as they were at the start of the season. Before the season started I also thought that the Bruins were going to be in trouble, I actually thought they were going to miss the playoffs. Crazy! But I'l take it.

  7. I'd still try making shorts. I just started getting into them and notice a lot of channels having explosive growth (not sports related, but a few that surprised me because I knew them before). You seem to be stuck with the other three or four people making similar content but you're by far the best and deserve the viewers. This content in short-form is prime for the format. Those who adapt, survive.

  8. The Bruins play a solid 2 way game and feature 3 really good lines and their 4th line is pretty good also solid D for the most part could use some help I think Clifton has to many holes. and lets not for get the Number 1 goalie in the NHL at this point and Swayman is a good netkeeper also. not halfway thru season yet. I think picking up Horvat and some D and we are going to Take the Cup this year. losing JD for a few weeks hurts but bringing former MVP to 2nd line moving Pasta up its all good. we need Horvat and some D injury bug hits every team the B's started without 2 great players and 2 good ones and still won. those one year deals have sparked this team like nothing else.

  9. For the future next Q&A video, Do you think that is it time to press the panic button for the Colorado Avalanche? It feels like the avs getting similar injury treatment as what happened to Vegas last year. Is there is possible a chance for a defending cup team to miss the playoffs since the Kings 2015 and Hurricanes 2007?

  10. 1 of 4 teams in NHL history to only have 4 losses in less than 40 games in well over 100 years of existence of pro hockey 🏒, it's miraculous

  11. Ullmark is by far the biggest factor in the Bruins being this good. Yes Hall and Debrusk were back from the dead, yes the coaching change was HUGE, yes Lindholm suddenly became a Norris candidate until Mcavoy came back, Yes Zacha's development is going smoothly rn and yes Charlie Coyle has been the best 3rd liner in the league this season (Just incase this team didn't have enough depth) But the sheer power the Bruins wield in nets in unbelievable. Ullmark suddenly went from being a 50/50 with Sway last year to the leading candidate for the Vezina seemingly overnight. NO ONE expected him to be that good in nets and I think that's the first X-factor which this team is able to pull whenever they run into trouble. Hope they start losing soon tho cuz the President's trophy curse has been REAL lately and I'd like to see Bergy win one last cup.

  12. I dont care if they break Montreal or Detroits season records, if they don't actually win the cup this time? It's just another failure. They've had so many Stanley cup worthy teams since Bobby Orr's 2nd Stanley cup win, and they're what, 1 and 6 in the finals since that? Crazy. 1 win 6 losses in the finals, AND a few conference finals losses as well. They get to the conference finals and basically have a 10% chance to actually win the cup out of the 4 teams based on the math.

  13. The NHL had about 7 teams I think in 1929? They have 33 teams
Today making this by FAR the best NHL start of all time.
They are 31-4-4 at the time if this comment, just absolutely incredible

  14. They have been so impressive, so far. I'm just praying that they stay healthy to make a big run in the playoffs.
