Morning, all! Just woke up to the unexpected news that the Lions beat the Packers at Lambeau last night, and /r/Detroitlions is a fun place to be this morning if you like football.
Some fun stats since the defense pair shakeup (according to Moneypuck, for D pairs that have at least as many minutes as Walman-Seider):
Walman-Seider are the 6th best D pair in the league in xGA/60.
Both the Walman-Seider pair and the Chiarot-Hronek pair are above 60% in xG
Small sample size so far, but the new look 5v5 D pairings have been very good so far.
This trade deadline will be interesting just over a month away isn’t it in March? I bet a lot of guys with expiring deals will be dealt to contenders. I hope we resign Maata though because he could be the vet that guys like Edvinsson and Seider can mentor under. 2 stanely cups and plenty of playoff experience.
Had to drive 600+ miles round trip for a funeral this weekend. That also included packing up the whole house. I am exhausted. We did get to redecorate our whole living room with items that my relativesv wanted us to have so that was really really nice.
Anyway, missed the last two games due to all of that but I saw they weren’t too good anyway.
