I feel for the goalies. David is right, the defensive coverage is atrocious.
Next game, watching how fast the forwards leave the zone. Structured teams will exploit this over and over again.
Bruce needs to turn up the gain on his mic, just a little, so he can move it out of the way of the camera and make it a bit louder.
This team is such a let down. They could easily miss the playoffs and they r in a weak division.

This team has no consistency (none!) & (most of all) no Desperation. It is undisciplined & sloppy & Woodcroft (Mr. Rogers) is floundering. The PK is pathetic. The Oilers’ league-leading PP was 0 for 6 against the 29th ranked PK in the league – in the most important game this season. “Things didn’t go all our way.” (Woodcroft) … Really?? Another wonderful disappointment. Getting a bit tired of the same old excuses from the locker room. Next we will hear they are worn out from the deep playoff run last season? Pathetic, but maybe next game will not feel so crappy?… sure hope so. haha
EDIT: Loved the scraps though. Jesse showcasing for his next team and Hyman says "sure, hold my beer". Kostin; well you have to love the guy. At least he is putting in the effort in play and not taking crap. Too bad he gets to sit on the bench most of the game. Oh wait ya bench the guys who have someting to show and actualy try. Woody is the touchy feely expert so must be right.

Actually did fairly well 5-on-5. Too bad our special teams laid an egg. The PK is absolute shambles and has been all season. We need a couple of PK specialists, one on D and one forward.
Jack and Loui hated that too many men call. And Loui said on the one goal the puck just looked like a blurry blob but somehow the refs have X-ray vision.
Bouchard has one of the best Oilers slap shots I've seen in a long time. It's a hard shot, often on target. As Don Cherry might say, the shot is "heavy" and "lively." They should be setting him up to take that shot more often.

There is either nothing out there on the market. Or the price is way too high for Holland. Surely he can see this is the worst defensive team in a very long while. Not just pour at defending but soft and often weak.
We are bordering on wasting a year. Foegle, PJ, Yammo have all regressed while claiming double the cap room as well. Perfect recipe to end up in the press box.

No surprise at this point Lol. This D is overall dysfunctional and soft. On a good note, JP, Hyman and Kostin showed some excellent push back/Grit. Poor Campbell, even when he makes his best save of the season, it's a goal. I Don't believe this team can make the playoffs with this Defense as it is, and I don't these same D men can or will improve enough to change that. Bouchard had some nice stats tonight, and I still think He's a weak D man. His gaff in the last 30 secs is something he seems to do far to often near the end of a game. This time it was passing the puck way off the mark so it hits the net, rebounds right to a enemy winger in front of the net, and Campbell has to make yet another save generated by his own D man. The pressure on Holland to make a trade for D is getting out of hand, and every other Gm knows it. Ken??

Holland been nothing short of horrible for the oilers, Bob Nicholson hired him and should be fired as he hasn't brought anything remotely good to this club

oilers need to look at the team commitment of the penguins, all deciding to go to letangs dads funeral instead of going home .they are a focused group of players that are committed to their teammates in every way
Holland missed his opportunity to make key moves with a bunch of players on our roster at the beginning of the season. Players that all had value carried over from last season. Would have been so much easier to make deals over the summer with GMS around the league not knowing as to what kind of season any of our D and secondary forwards would have in 2022/2023. The window is now sealed shut with cement glue for Holland. Holland waited and waited and waited and now has revealed all his cards. Now every GM around the league knows exactly what Holland is playing with….an amazingly shitty hand. Can't fool any GM now Kenny. That's on you. That's why Holland is a horrendously terrible GM. Holland should have been playing the Kenny Rogers song every night before he went to bed as a tiny reminder… "Know when to hold them and know when to fold them". Kenny should have been listening to Kenny. Oiler fans know, like every GM in the league, that this is it folks….this is our D core. Our D core have maxed out their talent level and it ain't going to get any better than this. Now we have to painfully watch this for the remainder of the season. Thanks Kenny, you're a helluva poker player.
Has anyone noticed that Leon Draisaitl is not skating well. I wonder if he is still injured? He is really playing poor defensively and continually gives away the puck away with his risky passes.
PK eaten alive…. one of the worst in the NHL….. they are always slow and inactive. Ultimately this team fails to control the puck as much as the teams they play….
