Allowing 4 goals against the PK isn't good. Although a 4-2 deficit isn't insurmountable, I go back to last February to a game between the Leafs and Blues at Scotiabank Arena, with a disastrous 3rd period (3 goals, all Blues' ones) having done the Leafs in. In that earlier game the Leafs tied things up in the 2nd period but after having gone down 2 goals for the 2nd time (with Ryan O'Reilly having scored a bit over halfway through the 3rd period to put the Blues up 5-3), that was pretty much it. The Oilers still have time to tie things up but things still aren't looking good at 4-2 Kings.
Here after la’s 5th goal here are my thoughts: the defence sucks big time and there have been like 5 giveaways a minute this team makes me want to rip out my brain and toss it in the trash. Skinner is being overplayed and this team sucks in the most important games. We need to win 25 out of the next 40 if we want any shot at the playoffs and right now it seems like a big ask and that’s disapointing with a team that has McDavid and draisaitl in their prime

Why does he shuffle the forward!!? That’s not the problem!! Change the defensive lines… nurse and ceci are horrible
Just to give you guys the heads up,Varlomov is a UFA now,and he is the Islanders back up.Maybe a bigger goalie like Varlomov who is seasoned and moves the puck like Mike Smith might help.What about Gosthisberie in Arizona or Chychrun?

No emotion. No accountability. Coaching seems non-existent. Need a trade to shock this team. Defense can be better if all players buy into it. But you need defenseman who think defense first and play positionally sound, who does that on this team?

Woodcroft is a great coach, last year he had Duncan Keith, Kris Russell and Mike Smith to help in the room and to babysit Bouchard and Nurse's horrible defensive play; this year he is stuck with 3 defense that think they're Paul Coffey (and are NOT). They need to deal with defense as soon as possible, and I don't think Chkrun is it. We don't need yet ANOTHER Darnell Nurse. And we had Kane up front who we are missing horribly. We also need to put Pulijiharvi on line 3 or 4 and LEAVE him there. Holloway totally deserves a look for a couple games in the top 6; he has 1 less goal than Jessi and he gets a fraction of the ice time (and on line 4; Jessi has had so much time with Mcdavid)
We need a guy like Tortorella to motivate these Mofos
