Eric Comrie is not an NHL goaltender and does not deserve the roster spot. Send him down. Again, terrible save percentages in a low shot game, but without the banged up defense excuse.

Use the roster spot to give players from Rochester who have earned it a look. I want to see Kulich, I’d like a look at Murray. That won’t happen with three rostered goalies and Comrie hasn’t earned it.

Bottom 3 D men need to be replaced, need to find defensively responsible 3rd liners, and get consistent goaltending. Been the same story, just gotta do something about it.

  3. UncleOrton

We got goalied. Needed Comrie to make a big save and Lyubushkin to not do whatever he was doing.

  4. BARDLER

Their goalie was better then our goalie. Not more complicated than that. I have zero confidence in this team winning with Comrie in the net unfortunately.

They didn’t deserve to win that game. A majority of the lineup looked like they’d rather be somewhere else, and Comrie… yikes dog. You need to save that one along the ice from outside the dots at a minimum.

Pretty happy with their effort tonight, especially coming off last night. Did a good job limiting shot attempts and had good possession.

Comrie did not look good. Needed to have a save on that fourth goal. I’m also pretty over Kale Clague.

    Posts, posts, posts.

I kind of missed Vinnie. I like the speed he brings.

And not to be the guy to complain about officiating but man every 50/50 call went against them tonight. Brutal stuff.

That was a winning effort and I think they were pretty clearly the better team. Take the day off and end the skid against Winnipeg.

Sometimes you just lose. The sky isn’t close to falling

I was tearing my hair out every time Skinner touched the puck tonight. I love him so much but his decision-making was so bad for the second game in a row.

Omg and the ghost offsides and icing calls! It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a linesman performance that bad.

Ready for the Reverse Retros (I guess) to flip the bad juju.

Get well soon 6K. Passing was also sloppy and gross on this night. Other teams are just more crisp with their passes, meanwhile we ruin scoring chances by putting pucks into feet rather than on sticks. Really wish they could clean that up.

The Saturday game vs Minnesota was too good for our souls – this is the karmic backlash

UPL > Comrie. Better effort than yesterday, but we need a couple guys to provide consistency on D. Don’t care if they get a single point. We just need to stop giving up 4 goals a game. Mitts’ line just gets bumped off the puck too much. I could see Mitts working out if he was with more physical players on that line, because he does look improved some games, but with this line, I just feel they get manhandled too much. Frustrating couple games, considering what this could of meant in terms of catching the 8th place spot.

  13. Goaltending was the difference tonight. The Comrie experiment is over, he sucks and has costed this team vital points for a playoff push.

    4 things to note:

    1. We desperately need better defense. I rag on Mitts and know some want VO trades but you can’t convince me we need a forward more than a defenseman right now.

    2. If you’re going to roll out this team and system as it is, you have to have above average goaltending. Comrie looked weak tonight. Granted, it was his first game back so we’ll see.

    3. We need other consistent scoring from people not on the top line or named Dahlin.

    4. Despite all of the above, I still feel good about this team and where we’re heading. Just sucks to know we’re on the doorstep of playoffs and can’t get over that last hump and string a few wins together to get us over the line.

  15. helikoopter

Hey! Casey and Olof weren’t the worst two skaters on the ice! That award goes to Asplund and Hinostroza. Great lineup shuffling!

i don’t think there’s one specific thing to point to for this loss. BUT what you can point to is what we’ve all been saying. consistent goaltending (which upl is helping find, but he needs more support in a partner), and upgrades on defense.

that’s actually the most frustrating part, is that the problems have been identified but there hasn’t best anything done about it…

  17. seeldoger47

Losing stinks. Hopefully they don’t lose against Winnipeg.

  18. Lanlis12

Girgs/Krebs/KO line was -2 tonight. That line is devoid of scoring ability. Their sole job is to eat minutes, so the top line can rest. We have 2 lines that do nothing but try to eat minutes… consistency is untenable when you rely on one line and a PP every game.

  19. mcchicken1899

Big problem for this team is consistency, whether it’s from the goalies or the players. The team just lacks the consistency that other teams have, and the inconsistency of our play shows on the scoreboard often. Boston and a tough Minnesota team, they play outstanding. But then back to back against the Flyers and now the Kraken really puts an exclamation point on the lack of consistency.
