Wow. This guy has maturity beyond his years. Hockey quality asides, I’m now starting to grasp what our management saw in this kid.
Slaf has the « mental thoughness » (La dureté du mental comme qui dirait) to learn, progress and thrive in Montreal.
This is sort of an aside, but I never really understood the idea that we have to just “trust” management. To me, trust is earned, and most of our management team (Hughes, Lacavalier, St. Louis) are rookies at their job. It’s on them to earn the fan base’s trust, not for us to just give it to them because they have a title. We’ve seen what blind faith in management and “the plan” can lead to with Bergevin. Ultimately, our management team are just people, and just as fallible as anyone else.
