The playoffs of my Senior Year at high school. What a magical year it was. The deepest Sabre run since 1980. The year we finally got the Philly monkey off our back (they had beaten us in all 4 playoff matchups including 2 in the past 3 playoff years). The Canadiens win maybe was the easiest playoff series win I had seen them make. The Capitals had Kolzig, who could match the saves Hasek made, some good officiating luck (a blown icing in OT in Game 2 on the winning goal, some questionable calls) and better talent. Still would have gotten destroyed by Detroit had they made it into the Finals.
