We filmed this video on Friday, roughly 20 minutes before Ben Bishop signed his new contract with Dallas. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to re-shoot this. Even though it's slightly out of date, I thought I would upload it regardless, since some of this is still relevant.
Notification because this channel is great
Not exactly a face I wanted to see land in the central…. unless it was in MN. A very good decision by Dallas.
Can you talk more about Toronto and this season and last season and this off season and how they can win the cup
If you want to can you make a video about the Detroit Red Wings
Love yalls vids. Best NHL channel there is. Would like to see y'all do something like a mock draft or top ten trades you guys wanna see happen.
Keep in mind the expansion draft, teams can only protect one goalie – so that might help explain some of this logic.
Tampa traded Bishop due to the pressure of losing him at the expansion draft for nothing and Yzerman wanting to get assets for him opposed to losing him for nothing because, Tampa knew they were protecting Vasilevsky.
Still don't like how LA traded for Bishop, was kind of confused why, especially because Quick just returned from injury when they did it but I guess it was for security and an attempt for a late playoff push. Ended up trading him to Dallas for the same reasons-the expansion draft and not wanting to pay Bishop's cap hit when they already have their starting goalie in Quick.
Good move by the stars
I was playing golf right behind Patrik Laine in Finland like 20 minutes ago. Just to let you guys know 🙂
Great vid, kind of off topic since you are talking about Bishop. But what about Jerome Ingala leaving Colorado for LA hoping to play for a cup contending team. I'm boggled by that trade.
These guys should be on TSN!!!
The main reason Tampa traded him was he was very expensive and was going to become a UFA so Tampa couldn't afford with Stamkos Hedman etc and they wanted to get something from Bishop.
awesome video! definitely a win for Dallas and bishop. if I were Dallas, I agree and would ship out both lehtonen and niemi. but if they only ship out 1, I would personally ship out lehtonen. niemi has a cup and playoff experience. so I feel like that tandem could be good. one interesting thing is Dallas said that Scott darling was their first target as a goalie rather than bishop.
I live in Dallas and love the Stars!
Subscribed. Keep it up.
Dallas is my second favorite team (with Benn being my favorite player in the NHL), so this makes me ecstatic. I love Bishop and was also floored by his trade to LA. I also wondered about Budaj. He was doing great in the net while Quick was hurt. The only signing that makes me happier is Carolina signing Darling.
As a Dallas fan this gives me a lot of hope for the future of the team
Problem is no one is gonna want to take on Nieme or Kari's cap
They traded them because of the los legas golden nights would end of taken vaseleskie and then they would have the older player so yea
