  1. i honestly hate the concept of tanking, cuz only one team gets bedard, having like every team tank for him is just disappointing

  2. Habs didn’t play a bad game. Just the penalties in the second period is what cost them the game.

  3. Remember when Habs lemmings cried about the Leafs tanking for Matthews? What a goofy bunch that Habs fanbase is.

  4. The habs aren’t tanking Kent said so Kent said he doesn’t build teams to lose he builds team to play and win

  5. The Habs are not losing intentionally. They are getting waxed BECAUSE THEY SUCK! The Habs were expected to lose lose lose and lose some more and finish the season in a war for last place overall with 2 other teams. So, they win a few games at the start of the season and everyone thinks WOW! WE HAVE A GREAT YOUNG TEAM! I’m here to tell you ‘NOT!’ And to finish last overall, or thereabouts, you expect them to lose all of those games by one goal? Again, I’m here to tell you ‘NOT!’ Habs fans are starting to sound like Leaf fans! FIRE THE COACH! Sad! Wanna talk about the Oilers and all of their #1 picks…they have the same problem today as they did 10 seasons ago…no D and no #1 goalie. How quick fans are to expect a last place team to over perform after winning a few games and be competitive all season because of it. My suggestion…stay real, accept the W’s AND the defeats…and build an all around competitive team! Having a Conner Bedard on the team isn’t gonna hurt.

  6. I don't believe the players would tank on the idea of 1 or more lose their job 🤔so would u tank for a Star to lose your job

  7. Couldn’t agree more. The NHL has a tanking problem and everyone is growing tired of it. Even as a Bruins fan the last thing I would want to see is these young, talented prospects on the Habs flounder. Not to mention the lack of respect that focusing purely on a better draft pick shows to a LEGEND like MSL.

  8. Even after tanking for Leon & McDavid…
They still are not a top team.

  9. I know Martin St Louis personally and he's not that way !! Look what Marty had to overcome to get to where he is today !! Panned for being small, not tough enough, broken leg !! C'mon man !!
LES HABITANTS upper management is the problem (as always in any human endeavor)
MONTREAL tried the " everyone on our team is Quebecoise so we are good by default" routine for decades .
At least now we see some diversity in the lineup .

  10. I never understood the idea of tanking to get a first draft pick.
    That doesn’t guarantee anything.
You still need a good team, coach, attitude and organization

  11. In all fairness this team seems to be a lot more competitive than the early 10’s oilers. If it wasn’t for that one losing streak which was partly because of the near comical amount of injuries the team had they’d have around a 0.500 record right now. They also have a great prospect pool, something Edmonton didn’t have.

  12. The Wings currently have a 5% chance, with how much they've been screwed over by draft position… they deserve the first pick 🤣 yes we got seider and Raymond ect… but still…

  13. You’re right about instilling the wrong attitude. It took Hall a couple of seasons with the Bruins to recuperate from that, and he’s finally showing what he can do.

  14. Man I don`t even think that Bedard would be able to fix the mess that the Canadiens apparently are

  15. I promise you after watching MSL win every type of NHL award and Stanley cup…… this is killing him.

  16. It still amazes me that Edmonton won the draft lottery almost in 8 out of 9 years and still took forever to get good lol. And they're arguably still bad because the same expectations that people put on Hall/Nuge/Eberle/Yakupov/ they couldn't live up to, the difference being McDavid and Draisaitl CAN put the team on their back and somehow squeeze out wins. And if they didn't get McDavid, maybe Draisaitl isn't as good. No question that Draisaitl isn't a good player, but his number are definitely inflated playing beside McDavid

  17. Also mtl has Florida's 1st round pick that's not lotto protected. So you want to beat them and help them drop further in the standings

  18. Maybe, perhaps, possibly…people like you set expectations unrealistically high! It started from the Draft when y'all jumped from loving one kid, then finding all his faults when the Habs selected someone else! You guys then made the new kid out to be a NHL ready, budding Superstar. All of you continued to gush even with numbers that told a different story (4g, 6a). If the numbers didn't convince you he needed "development" elsewhere, his reluctance to carry the puck, skate, shoot, make plays and use his enormous size should have been recognized. It wasn't. You in the media jacked the Team up as well forgetting the old rule "under promise then over deliver. It's the best way to set expectations so it doesn't come back and bite you in the ass.

  19. We have 5 good rookie d-players. It's not that bad. They are learning. I see the team improving a lot in the next years. I trust St-Louis to keep the team competitive. Probleme is some ordinary veterans like Arnia, Drouin, Dadonov, Hofmann… When they ll be gone, it's gonna be St-Louis, 's team and I think all the kids are gonna battle hard.
