Had my hand operated yesterday. Woke up earlier to watch the Stars play the Sharks, and I guess that was a tell-tale sign my day would be crappy…
The doctor first made it seem like I could go back to work the next day. But I get handed a note to stay home for 3! weeks? Even when the stitches go out in 2 weeks.
After the operation I get my prescription for medication, the booklet with info said 15€, in reality it was 35€ once I was at the pharmacy.
They told me to keep it dry, but also keep it mobile. But the stitches run in such a way I don’t think I can protect it without taping my middle and ring finger together.

And it is offcourse my dominant hand so yeah the next few days will suck, but the lack of information/disinformation frustrates me even more.

My mom passed away on December 27. We had her celebration of life and repast last Saturday. For the first time since the pandemic started, I didn’t wear a mask indoors because I trusted the people who loved my mom to not bring sickness to someone’s fucking funeral. The numbers so far are 18 flu and 2 Covid. I’m sure there are more but those are the people we talk to on a regular basis. Covid positive people were good after a day (they had been vaxxed and boosted), most flu people were good after a couple of days. Except my aunt and I who both had to go see Drs. yesterday, and got confirmation it was flu. I HATE having upper respiratory issues, but it made it worse to watch the Stars fucking collapse against the Sharks. Last night was sweet redemption. And I finally feel a small bit better today.
I want to see Roope back!!!!

Can’t wait for these west coast and east coast road trips to be over so I can actually watch the Stars, almost forgot how awful it was being in the pacific division despite how we owned it for basically our whole tenure.

Did anybody else have a wtf feeling after the Stars popped off 3-0 on the Kings after what happened the night before? I was like i know i should be giddy about a 3-0 lead, but i wasn’t fml!

Sevi is good luck for The Cowboys. During one of the intermissions on Monday he was asked if the Cowboys would win Monday nights game and he was like The Stars will win and The Cowboys will win and wouldn’t you know it he was right.

Nice ride to Dallas, but cloudy. About 55 the whole drive. Enough drops of rain, and bugs on windshield, to stop for a wash in Italy. 3/3 wash stalls not working. Saw one state patrol, but got off at Troy for the country ride. Can’t wait for the game tomorrow!!
Excited for the all star jerseys and to have college nights back! I want a cool hat!

edit2: hmmm interesting, you only get the swag if you purchase tickets through this 3rd party deal and then it only gave me the option to purchase random seats in 320.
edit3: I looked at the other nights and theres more options so I guess A&M night was just almost sold out. Glad I got some!

Bought my Robo all star jersey earlier today with a 20% off coupon. My cousin tried to use it half an hour later and the jersey was excluded, guess I got lucky that was a shit show of a “midnight” release last night.
Super bummed it won’t be in until mid-March though.
