Just when I’m ready to give up on the season the boys pull out a sick win, 4 goals on Vasilevsky is nothing to sniff at

  2. Serapth

First game in a long time where I legit felt like the Flames were a dominant team. Good for the soul

  3. CaptinDerpI

GET READY FOR THE BURNING OF THE BLUE JACKOFFS ON MONDAY

  4. natenicholson

I really hope they keep pelts in

That was the most fun I’ve had all season

  5. dusterdrown

Nothing fills me with more Alberta pride than a good team getting 0-2’d on the road here 🫡

  6. BreathingImp

Team looked really good today. Huge win! Couple thoughts:
1 – Even though Lucic didn’t play bad, I am interested in what that line looks like if you put one of the young guys with Huby and Kadri.
2 – Vlader is great. The team plays completely different with him in net. They look way more confident.
3 – The penalty kill was terrific. Huge day today for that group.

  7. Lumpyskillet

Lighting played like a bunch of fart sniffers.

  8. Pelletier in and we win. Coincidence? Yes. But play him more cuz he was fucking good and then go and kick Johnnys ass boys!!!

  9. GrafNebelgeist

    Fuck yeah! Good effort today.

Darth Vladar… All he does is pile up points and wins.

    Well deserved W!

  10. cjRuckie

So clearly that Avalanche game knocked a few things into their heads. That was a very Sutter-system game that they played into well.

Also Pelts was good in his first game, couple chances, some good passes, solid hit, good first time

  11. AwayFriendship3521

I already know sutters is gonna take pelts out

  12. TravisTouchdown_51

Full 60 minutes against a contender and we get the win, couldn’t ask for more. Need this type of effort consistently to make the playoffs.

  13. canadadrinks2020

Corey Perry farts when he gets off the elevator.

  14. ThatFreakingScrub

I just fucking love how the Lightning manage to make shit teams look great during the season LOL

I HAVE A RAGING BONER RIGHT NOW FOLKS

  16. McKarmic

Pelts duehr and Lewis were fantastic.

  17. YYCAdventureSeeker

Great warm up for the shellacking we are going to deliver Johnny and the Jackets on Monday night.

  18. Vinny331

Walker Duehr is impressing me more and more every game. Those 2 shifts he had with Huberdeau and Kadri, he fit right in. He could be a difference maker coming down the stretch.

  19. me_hill

Good stuff. Got a couple softball games coming up (Jackets, Hawks), need to take advantage of that and keep rolling.

  20. TheFifthsWord

One of the best 60 minutes this year!

  21. noahmiller032

Nice nice more of this please

  22. RhialtoTheMarv

Multi-goal win. Can you believe it?

  23. thuglife_7

Holy fuck does sutter ever piss me off. Asked about Pelts debut and all he does is reads off his stat sheet. How about you actually let him play for more than 6:35.

  24. friendsofrhomb1

I only tuned in to the last ten minutes (it’s early in Australia) did we play well or was Tampa garbage?

    How did pelts look?

  25. Key_Course6692

    fucking sutter lmao..
    « What’d you think of Jacob Pelletier’s debut? »

« let’s see….what number is he? » then reads off his box score

  26. likethemouse

Good W but it’s hard to get excited over 1 win, we need to string a bunch of wins together, like we need 4/4 this week no exceptions, especially since it seems like the coilers look like their never gonna lose again (ew)

  27. Rulebreaker15

Let’s keep this up and shellac Columbus on Monday. Can’t wait.

  28. Comfortable-Lock-726

    Post game thoughts from Sutter.

Play Lucic more mins. He is the engine of that 2nd line and the heart and soul of this team.

And start Markstorm for the next 4 games.

  29. Suzaku94

Sutter was asked about Pelletier and he literally just read off his stat sheet. Fuck right off dude

  30. Sufficient-Cookie404

Great game, our PK sets us apart from a lot of other teams! Hopefully we continue with this.
We do tend to play better offensively in front of Vladar, so it would be nice to see him get more starts for sure.

Everyone freaking out about Pelts needs to calm down. We played 16 minutes of PK, obviously he’s not going to play huge minutes due to that. It’s also his first damn game

  31. NoSpills

Duher Huby and Kadri should be a line.

  32. Laurafla

I missed the game (galldang Saturday afternoon games) but managed to catch most of the last half of the third. I’m very upset that I suffered through the Avs game and missed this one. UGH.

Going to scroll through the game thread to read about Pelletier. Unless someone feels compelled to sum up his play for me here 🙂

  33. ColdsnapX

Corey Perry was a Flame killer of old.

    Now he just seems old.

  34. arcticfox

I wasn’t able to watch the first period, but I watched the second and third. I really liked what I saw from the Flames today. They were solid.

However, I have to say that the officiating this game was just as shitty as it has been all year long and I can’t help but continuing to feel when the Flames win, it’s in spike of biased crap reffing.

Two out of three of the Lightning goals today were suspect. The first one looked like a « distinct kicking motion to me » and on the third goal there was contact between the goal scorer and the goalie in the blue paint just before the goal. Enough for goaltender interference… maybe/maybe not.

I also have issue with Coleman’s double-minor (although according to the rules, it was a penalty). He was just about to be smoked by the guy and reacted at the last minute to protect himself. It looked to me like Coleman was being lined up for an injury-inducing hit and, quite frankly, I see his action in the same league as hitting someone in the face as follow-through on a shot.

I also thought that the roughing penalty against Kadri was pretty damn weak. The guy was holding him in the boards so goddamn long that Kadri eventually retaliated. How about the refs do their fucking jobs and call that kind of shit before Kadri has to hit the guy to get him to stop holding him?

  35. AndyNasty

Spitfire as the walkout song is the TSN turning point of the season

  36. Send_Headlight_Fluid

Some dumbass threw their tampa jersey onto the ice lol

  37. thisguy_or_thissky

Power play was horrible but everything else was great!

  38. SauronOMordor

Wasn’t able to watch but damn, looks like Andersson and Hanafin had a great night!

    How was Pelts?

  39. Z00TH0RNZ

I missed the game, how did Pelletier look out there?
