I love the fact that the Sabres beat the Stars with Hintz back in the lineup, while also playing against Oettinger. Teams used to just play the backup against Buffalo because even that was still an automatic W. Not anymore!
As a Sabres fan Anderson really stood on his head for us in the first. The Stars were all over us and I felt that there is only so much Anderson can do. He kept us and allowed the Sabres to adjust and clean up that sloppiness. It ended up becoming a tough back and fourth game and boy the Sabres have been clutch in OT so far this season. Just a fun game through and through.
The timing of that pass from Tage Thompson was perfect, just as Oettinger and Heiskanen went to go to him the puck is going the other way for Power to put in the open net.
Been playing and watching the game most of my life, been a long time since I have seen an NHL team as bad on their own end as this Sabres team is. Shame on them and their coaching staff.

This was a great game. Bravo to both teams. I'm a Sabres fan and glad they got the win, but the Stars did a great job and earned that point.
All 3 Buffalo goals were scored cuz the goalie doesn't come across fast enough..

That was such a fun game both teams dominating at points scrappy I’m excited for the next time in march when they play again
